HI ALL!! get in while you still fit in

We went to a dinner for the KPN Citizen of the Year award. My 12 yr old nephew was nominated. The whole event was fun, the dinner was "OK". You know that banquet, cheap, run them through type of dinner. BUT, great desserts!! My youngest daughter and son-in-law made it down. My oldest daughter was on the other side of the state coaching her dance and drill team in the State Tournament. My nephew did not win. But, had the observation of the night. He called me later after we all got home and told me that he thought there was some kind of 'funny' stuff going on. "Did you notice how older persons voted on the award, and an older person won it?". YES!! He was the youngest of all the 25 nominations by AT LEAST 30 years!! But, I told him good to get his name out there and let people in the community know the younger generation is up and coming. My daughter bought me some OAKLEY swag for my new sun glasses!! COOL STUFF!! It was great to spend the time with her. She EVEN bought her daddy a drink before hand. Was able to get the bar-b-q fixed this weekend as well, and then used it for dinner last night!! Ebay has slowed down, one sale. I am going to hold off for about a week before I start re-listing again. Seems like it was quite a full weekend. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! schedule time too much like work

    "    in the first flush of ecstacy, as you lay naked next to me, while our love put the dawn to flight, I just ignore all those warning lights, cause when you laugh I just cry, when you left I just died, hard to hold onto a love divine, I'm kneeling in a corner, praying to your shrine, I've been hurt so confused    "    Well might be a busy day. I got to schedule a doctors appointment and a car maintenance appointment. The car needs regular check up and a recall for a possible water leak that will cause an electrical connection to rust. The doctors appointment I am not sure about. I refilled one of my meds yesterday and was told by the pharmacist that the doctor wanted to see me before the next refill. I just saw him about 5 months ago and things were good. I have been taking this med for a long time, probably 8 or 9 years. Anyway so be it. Ebay is doing slow this week, about 40% or so of the last few weeks. Not sure why, just not getting any looks or watches. I have been selling several things this month, but just very slow now. Who knows?? Been Bar-B-Qing lately, still got to fix the two main burners, just have not had the time to do it. Was able to get my tool cabinet fixed the other day. But now got to do the grill. Maybe this weekend if the weather holds. That's part of the issue, when it's good weather I want to grill, but I don't want to have the grill all apart and not back together in time for dinner. One of those things, ya know?? Other than that just humming along, had a GREAT day yesterday for my NCAA basketball tourney bracket, 100%!! Today the best I can do is 87.5%. I'll take that!! I am  starting to climb up the rankings, I have two brackets over 85 percentile!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! I never saw that coming

SO funny!! I was watching 'The Good Wife' last night on TV. It was the episode where she finds out if she has won the election for State's Attorney. So lots of 'tension' throughout the show. Well right at THE CRITICAL moment they are watching TV for voting results when the news guy is about to tell them the results, and he cuts to a commercial, on the show!! It's SOOOOO funny because as I watch TV (and YES I probably watch TOO much TV), when they get to a point where they are going to announce a winning team, or reveal some critical part of the show, they ALWAYS go to commercial first. So to be watching a TV show where they did the SAME thing ON THE SHOW, was just too funny!! It totally caught me off guard, but I had a great laugh over it. Did spend most of the weekend watching NCAA basketball. I have two brackets that are doing very well, over 94 percentile!! AND, I have two brackets that are NOT doing so well, under 20 percentile!! But, I am beating the presidents bracket on six of my eight brackets. Reminds me of that old line from Babe Ruth. A reported asked him one year how it was that he was making more money than the President of the United States?? Ruth pondered the question for a moment, then replied " I've had a better year than the President!"  HOW TRUE!! Did manage to sell an item on eBay again this week. COOL!! Have not been able to Bar-B-Q as much lately, too much rain. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! and my bracket just gets worse

    "    I was a butcher cuttin' up meat, my hands were bloody I'm dying on my feet, I was a surgeon 'till I start to shake, I was a falling 'till you put on the brakes, ..  I was a pitcher down in a slump, I was a fighter taken for a sucker punch, feeling bad I guess I lost my spring, I was the boxer who can't get in the ring    "    Well how is that NCAA basketball bracket of yours?? Mine, I mean ALL of MINE, SUCK!! I am anywhere from the 10 percentile to the 80 percentile. I still have a chance to improve, but I need the rest of this weekends games AND ALL of next week's games to go my way!! I am doing OK(??) on the PGA fantasy bracket this week. I hope to have three out of four in both men's and ladies tournaments make the cut this weekend. I have sold another item on eBay, and still got 2 days left!! I got my new replacement drawer slides in for my rolling tool cabinet in. And I hope to get the two new gas burners in for my Bar-B-Q this weekend also. I will be able to repair the grill next week, and MAYBE, just MAYBE take on the tool cabinet. I don't think either job will be that tough. I will just have to do some advanced planning before I tackle either one. I have found that since my disability I need to plan things out more in advance than I use to. That maybe a GOOD thing as well. I had another baseball fantasy team do it's 'draft' very early this morning. I am happy with the players I got, and then one of the other teams wants to make a trade for a hitter. He is willing to put up a starting pitcher. I e-mailed him with a couple of options and am just waiting to hear back. I would be happy to do a deal with him. OK back to the TV and see if my bracket choices can win out!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! March Madness bracket time

    "    I'm getting wise to you. you're going to see, I'm going to work on you the way you worked on me, I got a sharper aim and you're in my sights, and if I'm going to go I'm going in a blaze of lights, and in this crazy world of hit and run, there are no laws her just a loaded gun    "    Yeah it's college basketball tourney time (AKA: March Madness!!). I have done 4 brackets so far, may, MAY do 2 more or maybe 4 more. It is a fun time to watch some basketball and enjoy the results. It is about the ONLY time that I watch basketball. It is just NOT that interesting to me. I do like the college game more than the pro's. And I gotta watch the games as long as Gonzaga is in the tourney. Some of the "so called "experts" really think the Zag's can get to the final four this year. Of course I listened to the so called "experts" a couple of weeks ago in my weekly Golf Fantasy Game and had ALL FOUR of my golfers miss the CUT!! So much for the "experts". Did sell some stuff on eBay this week, so it is picking up, a little at a time. That's cool. I am down to 120 items now. When I first started three years ago I was over 300 items!! I have more that I can list, but I am going to wait until I am under 100 items, it just make it easier to manage that way. Also this week I got 5 Fantasy baseball league drafts coming up. Could be a busy week on the computer watching all my picks. I hope to be able to start Bar-B-Q'ing again as well. I found a REAL nice THICK T-BONE steak at the store, and it is the first thing going on the grill. I did get new burner parts ordered, and I also ordered a replacement drawer slide for my tool cabinet.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! Will Ferrell big day

    "    You're the kind of person you meet at certain dismal dull affairs, center of a crowd, talking much too loud, running up and down the stairs well it seems to me that you have seen too much in too few years, and though you've tired you just can't hide your eyes are edged with tears, .. when you were a child you were treated kind, but you were never brought up right, you were always spoiled with a thousand toys, but still you cried all night    "    Well did you watch the Will Ferrell spring training attack yesterday.  He played ten different positions with ten different teams. It was to honor the 50th year anniversary of Bert Campaneris, who played nine different positions in a single nine inning game back in 1965. It was also to help raise funds for two charities who fight cancer. I was watching MLB Network and enjoyed every time they cut in to show where Will was and what he was doing. I heard last night that there was over $1 million dollars pledged towards the charities!! VERY COOL!! Well been an OK week, just dinging along, nothing big going on for now. Been Bar-B-Q'ing and enjoying some of the weather. Playing around on the inter-web, etc. Did manage to chat with both daughters!! Ran a few errands the other day as well. Big rumor this week was that the Rolling Stones are making plans to tour in 2015!! WOW!! I am sure the tickets will be WAY TOO expensive, but maybe a pay-per-view will be in order. I REALLY would love to see a NEW album!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! Double Clutch it

    "    I had an arrangement to meet a girl, and I was kind of late, and I thought by the time I got there, she'd be off, she'd be off with the nearest truck driver she could find, much to my surprise, there she was sittin' in the corner, a little bleary, the worse for wear and tear    "    You know I remember while going to High School, every time our bus driver would come to our stop she had to 'double clutch' to down shift into gear. Now I did teach my daughters how to drive IN A MANUAL SHIFT vehicle. So they learned to drive AND drive a clutch. Not many are doing that these days. I STILL drive a manual transmission truck, I have driven a clutch for over 40 years. I did really never learn how to 'double clutch', but I have in the past. My '89 Ranger had some tranny problems and I had to 'double it' sometimes when I would shift into first gear. Went out today and ran some errands. Mail, and got my hair cut. My hair was VERY long, hanging on my shoulders, and over my ears. I use to wear it that long, but wanted to see if it would grow out again. AND TI DID!! So went and got it trimmed back to a "4" today. Now it's shorter than my beard!! Which needs to be shaved back to stubble by the way. Not much else going on. Have been Bar-b-q'ing lately, very nice. I had to order some new parts for the grill. I have burned through a couple of the main burners. But the food has been GREAT!! And it's been fun. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! Keep on truckin'

    "    I'm glad I opened your eyes, the have-nots have tried to freeze you in ice, have you seen your brother baby standing in the shadow, have you had another baby standing in the shadow, I was just passing time, I'm all alone won't you give all your sympathy to mine. tell me a story about how you adore me    "    Well just humming along, have been able to watch several spring training baseball games so far. It feels good to see the boys out on the green grass playing baseball. I have joined EIGHT fantasy teams. Had one draft so far, and not too bad. Got some good players. The key to it I think is having just the right amount of patience and keeping an eye on what is happening around the WHOLE league. You got to be on top of injuries and players being sat down for poor play. Still trying to adjust to the LARGE increase in property taxes!! WOW!! Did manage to Bar-B-Que something last night, and plan to Bar-B-Que several more times this week. The weather is suppose to hold till Tuesday. Will probably try and mow for the first time this weekend also. Need to get out there and start getting the yard in shape. Got eBay going till Sunday, need to sell a bunch!! Also had another garbage can knocked over yesterday. It looks like some kind of animal, maybe a raccoon or small bobcat or something. Will have to start putting the can in the garage at night. Here is another good reason to get a game camera and see what goes on after the sun goes down around my house!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! baseball fantasy league time

Into the Fantasy Baseball Leagues, AGAIN. This year I will be in EIGHT leagues!! Double from four last year. And, thank God ESPN only lets you join ten leagues. I like their format and information. I have tried other sites, but not as happy as with ESPN. So I will stay there again this year. We shall see how it goes. I did win one of my leagues last year. So I am hoping for more this year. I am already watching spring training games!! WOW!! I think this maybe an addiction?? But, so be it, everyone has ONE addiction!! WHOOPS, now this makes two for me, remember, there is ALWAYS baseball cards too!! Not much else going on. Still trying to figure out how to handle the increase in property taxes. It will be DOUBLE from last year. So just figuring out what might be possible. Did sell one little item from eBay and re-listed again. Found out that I have been listing some of my items incorrectly. I was not combining two of the words in some listings. I had them as Starting Line Up. and they are shown as Starting LineUP. So I'll see if I get more looks now. I will randomly go through my listing and double check how they come up in searches, as well as pull up other similar listings. That helps me stay in the main stream of things. The weather has been great, looks like I will have to mow the yard soon. COOL!! Got through the birthdays and now settling down. CHOW MOI!!
