HI ALL!! it's easier to ask for forgiveness than to seek approval

You know the headline today is SO very true. If you EVER spent any time in the Corporate America circle you know what I mean. Had some luck with eBay this week. Should several items to one guy and then tried to work a deal for one other item. He wanted it at over 80% of book off. That was just TOO much for me. I tried to work a different deal but to no avail. There was an insert set that I had listed that I had already removed to save for myself. It is a Finest and I am still collecting that brand. But, it did give me the chance to re-work the listing and alter it. When I listed the original 300 PLUS items, I just was getting them active. I have since had tome to 'fix' some of the errors I made. With this one I went in and highlighted some rarer cards that are in this item and removed the insert set. I was still able to raise the asking price!! i am now at about 50% of book. Was able today to find a replacement battery for my lawn tractor (mower). I have had to jump start it the last two times I have used it. That is getting OLD in a hurry! It is a 'wet' battery so they can not ship it to me. I had a real hard time finding it until I got a salesperson from the parts store on the phone and found out the local Sears will have the battery in the Automotive department!! COOL!! So looks like a trip to Sears!! WOW, that means I will have to go by my MOST-EST favorite store on the way. HELLO ALCOHOL!! OH MY!! Have not had to water my new grass all week, we have had enough rain to handle that. AND, I have been able to Bar-B-Q several times this week as well.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! run out of money before you run out of month

    "    I met her in a movie house, she was playin' the arcades, and posing with her hang hair down, lookin' a little bit unmade, she spoke in broken English, I replied in broken French, come and share my popcorn, it's not a federal offense, ..  ..  her skin was kind of pudgy, got spots all over her face, from wearin' too much makeup, and she wasn't walkin' straight, she drove her daddys' car, she got a genuine teenage drag, she always find a popper, to be hidden in her stash    "    Well out and ran so errands yesterday. Seems like I am ALWAYS going to the store for something. WOW!! I do spend some money there. But, you know, a guy's gotta eat! AND I need my med's! Got in my bottle of American Honey STING the other day. It is Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon made with ghost peppers. Got a solid 'sting' to it. NICE! I will saver it and share with my daughters and  companions!! Still trying to get something going in the Fantasy Baseball leagues. Some positive movement this week. Has two real good days, but then one kind of bad day. So goes it. Have been out in the yard several times to check on my new grass. Watered it the other day, now we have been getting rain fro the past several days, so no need for any extra water. Hope to see little sprouts coming up by the end of the weekend. Paid some bills and now broke till next months 'stipend' comes in. Plan on a quiet weekend, it will be raining off and on, so might NOT even get a chance to grill.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! the yard looks great

    "    baby baby I've been so sad since you've been gone, way back to New York city where you do belong, honey I miss your two tone kisses, legs wrapped around me tight, if I ever get back to fun city girl, I'm gonna make you scream all night, honey honey call me on the telephone, I know you're moving out to Hollywood, with your can of tasty foam, all those beat up friends of mine, got to get you in their books, lead guitars and movie stars, get their tongues beneath your hood    "    Well spent a lot of time out in the yard this weekend. My landscaper came through and was here both Saturday and Sunday, about 5 hours total. Was able to get plenty done, but there still remains more to do. Was able to get new grass seed planted and hope it grows in the new area of the yard. I am so VERY sore and stiff. Just can't spend those kind of hours out in the yard like I use to. Should be some simple things I can do in the next couple of weeks before I have the landscaper come back. It only takes money!! But I do enjoy being out in the yard. Looks like we can keep bar-b-q'ing for another couple of days. Stuff just taste soooo good. Was able to even sell an item on eBay yesterday!! So I re-list the other ones for another week. Still working on pension and life insurance stuff. My fantasy baseball teams are still 2nd division, but several are starting to gain some ground. It is still very early in the season. I just need a couple of key players to get HOT!!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! The Honey Bourbon is on the shelves

    "    And it sure been a cold cold winter, and the wind ain't been blowin' from the South, it's sure been a cold cold winter, and a lotta love is all burned out, it sure been a hard hard winter, my feet been draggin' 'cross the ground, and I hope it's gonna be a long hot summer, and a lotta love will be burnin' bright    "    Well ran errands yesterday. Took mom to a doctor's appointment, then had lunner (lunch/dinner), then grocery shopping. Did have a chance to read my book I am working on at the doctor's visit. It's by Marianne Faithful about her life and times, which includes time with Mick Jagger of the Stones. I am right at the part where they are starting to form their relationship in 1967. Some very interesting events. Got home and my right hip was just killin' me. Not sure what I did, but a lot of pain. Finally figured out it must be a cramp, sat down and relaxed and it got much better. This morning it is a little tender, but no pain. I have been getting cramps lately, I know it is related to my Stenosis. I am not sure if the cramps have increased lately or not. Something I am watching and tracking for awhile. Was not able to get any American Honey Bourbon yesterday at the store. They were sold out, but new stuff was delivered today and put out on the shelves at 5 AM!! COOL!! I am almost out, and THAT just CAN'T happen!! Really didn't spend all that much yesterday at the store, didn't have to buy any meat. Just breakfast and lunch stuff.  We get our new veggie pick up on Monday, so we will see what is there. This one is cool, you can adjust your order if there is something you do not want. Got some miscellaneous stuff to get done today and hope to get out in the yard tomorrow. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! LATE .. Once again

I am a little late in getting another post done!! I guess I have been distracted this week. Did some bill paying, then spent a day checking out my options for my company sponsored pension plan. Lots of choices to make, had to do some 'figuring' on what I want to do. Still not sure, but I think I have a plan. Was able to get out and mow the yard today!! Looks good, my '?landscaper?' was a NO SHOW!! He use to work for me, about ten years ago. He was my MOST reliable employee. Then re-discovered him about 5 years ago. He came out and did some work than just disappeared. Ran into him at the store about two weeks ago. got his new number, we exchanged texts, set up for today. AND NOTHING! Oh well. My fantasy baseball teams are hurtin'!! I am in the second division on ALL of my leagues. But, I do have some moves happening this week that should help me. Nothing on eBay again. I am just puzzled by it. Found a new produce company that will allow us to pick up items on the cheap. We are going to try them out this week and see what they offer. We'll compare it to our current one and see who has the better deals. Will try and get out and do some yard work later this week. Seems like my week is full. We should have good weather for awhile so it looks like I will get the chance to break in my new Bar-B-Q tongs and wear out that GRILL!!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! bases loaded, 2 out

It took way to long, it was just a yearly check up for my meds. Did get to talk a little Rolling Stones, one of the med assistance's saw my belt buckle. Then back home and bar-b-ques a pork shoulder steak. This is the third time we have bar-b-qued a pork shoulder steak. They are SO good. That will become my new pork of choice. Well almost done with the first full week of baseball fantasy leagues. Doing OK, I got some players that are out for a few days and some that are struggling out of the gate. But I MUST show some patience and let things play out. Nothing with eBay!?!? Was able to track down an old friend the other day! And waiting on better weather to get my long lost landscaper out here for a few hours. Not really much else going on. Both daughters are out on vacation, and return later this week. Trying to spend time watching the Masters Gold Tournament. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! .. the AZALEAS are in FULL BLOOM

If you know me, than it is EASY!! What a great sports week. Baseball season is starting, opening day and all; the Final Four; hockey and basketball are ending their seasons and juggling for playoffs; AND, The Masters golf tournament!! WOW!! That just about covers everyone! It is always a fun week. Plus rumor has it that my youngest might have a birthday coming up!?!? Well after two days I am doing alright in my fantasy baseball leagues. Got items re-listed on eBay. Have been able to get out and do a couple of errands around the house. PLUS, I ran into our old landscaper at the store the other day!! Got his new number and he would be willing to come do some work for us. Now just got to get the money!! I think maybe 4 to 6 hours worth ought to get me set for the summer. I do know I got to mow soon, and get some weed killer down. Think I should be able to bar-b-q several times this week. We do have some rain coming, so it maybe a challenge. ALSO, final, I found you again Brian!! WOW!! Thank goodness I have skip trace abilities, STILL!! Now I will hook up and go to lunch with him. If I remember right, it's his turn to buy!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! The Rolling Stones Tour again

The Rolling Stones aka: The worlds greatest fucking rock and roll band; is back on tour!! I do have some disappointments with it. First of all, Hey Mick and Keith, How about a new album, errr CD!! How about you two go off somewhere remote, just like you use to do, and write some new songs?? Then, they have 15 tour stops. All but ignoring the two coasts. They open in San Diego, then Dallas and then the mid section of the country. With a final stop up in Quebec Canada. Just forgetting about the east and west coast???? Why not do 6 or 8 dates in one section of the country, take a break, then back out for 6 or 8 dates in another section, then a break, and back out for 6 or 8 dates in the third section???? I bet you could EVEN do more than ONE show in Canada!! I just don't understand. And maybe that's just my problem. But they ARE the sound track to MY life and I would love to hear some new cuts. They are reworking Sticky Fingers LP, OK COOL!! But the time you spend on that I'll bet you could get a great start on a new album!?!? I doubt I will go see them, probably wait and hope there is a Pay-Per-View offering. Not much else happening this week, did get a couple of grilling days in, now just raining, AND raining. No eBay this week. I am going to wait and start new listings on Sunday. Hope I have as good of April as I did March!! It would be great to have two solid months in a row. Was able to get the Rogue in for it's servicing and it's recall notice. Our car did NOT have the recall problem, but they still put the shield on it that the recall asks for. Should have another good week, Baseball Season starts on Sunday, with the Mariners opening on Monday. Then The Masters starts Thursday!! CHOW MOI!!
