Finally did some mowing. The grass was pretty thick in some spots, and not so much in others. Also took out the blower and blew away as many of the leaves as I could. I was surprised that when I was mowing how many 'objects' I hit. Rocks, some mounds of dirt, etc. I have not done ANYTHING on the yard all summer, and yet, there was rocks and some of the dirt seemed to have grown. I have been mowing the current layout all year and have not ran into any dirt mounds for awhile. So it is mowed and looks GREAT!! But, WOW did I ever OVER do it!! Just too much with the mowing and the leaf blowing. Moved both cars out of the garage and started there. But it all looks clean now. I blew them as far away as I could. My legs are just sooo weak, and I am sore all over. You know it use to be that when I was doing a tough job I would just bow my neck, head down and power through it. Just can't do that now. I have GOT to learn when to back down and do the rest on another day. I am feeling a little slow and sore today, but do feel better. AND the yard looks MARVELOUS!! It may be the last mow of the year, we'll see. Still plucking away at the guitar. Learning some opening riffs to two new songs, and my fingers are telling it. I do have some callouses but every time I go to a different note, it seems to be a different finger combo, and new callouses. Not much else going on. Down to the last week of fantasy baseball. BUMMER!! Had a great time this year. CHOW MOI!!

    "    Cause music is what I want,  to keep my body always moving, everyday I get another dose, I can't stand it when the music stops, everybody on the dance floor, you know what I'm talking about, music makes you forget all your problems    "    Been watching the Barrett-Jackson Auto auction on TV the last several days. WOW!! Some VERY cool cars. I use to have one of those. A 1967 Mercury Cougar GT. Had a big 390, chrome kit, automatic. Had lots of fun in it. Decided to do some customizing on it. Put in a 4-speed tranny, and wood grain dash from a 1968 Cougar. Ended up selling it to a buddy for cash and tools and etc. He tinkered with it for about a week then sold it. The new owner took it out on the first Friday Night he owned it, and rolled it. Thank God no one was seriously hurt. I had put in shoulder straps from a Mustang, and learned later that that was a big factor in the results. Been a good week, went in today and had the Nail salon look at my ingrown toe. I had been there last week for a pedicure. Nothing going on with eBay, did sell one small item, but that's it. Still doing OK with my fantasy baseball teams. Guitar practice is going well. Seems like there is a bad day, then several good ones. Still making progress. I am now playing along to a metronome. Doing OK, it is just a long learning process. Still having lots of fun with it!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! it's late September and I really should be back at school

Some decent weather. Not much else going on for now. Still need to make doctor appointments with my regular and GI doctors. My hip seems to be a little better, and my back is much better. I am really having problems with my guitar practice. I am trying to play to the rhythm of a metronome. I am having ALL sorts of issues. Too fast, too slow, just can't seem to get it spot on. For a few moments I can, but not a whole song. So I just keep at it. I know that rhythm is more important than the correct note. But, wow it's s challenge!!  Subscribed to Netflix, and have been watching some things. There is one show that was on cable TV that was moved to Netflix only, Longmire. So have watched one episode so far, and then watched the documentary, '20 feet from Stardom'. That was VERY good. Also will watch more Longmire episodes and there is a special interview with Keith Richards and a documentary on Jimi Hendrix that I want to watch.  So far it is easy to do. Just get on-line with my Kindle and hook it up to the HDMI slot on the TV. First month was free, then $8.95 per after that. Looks like several months of watching. CHOW MOI!!

    "    If you really want to rip up your mind, if you want to take the lid off your life, if you want to reach down in the sump, to last dregs off the camel's back hump, and the wolves are howling right at your door, and the vultures want to tear off some more, .. .. .. hey mama what's this crazy game of sevens, eights, and nines, I can't keep up with you baby, I'm gonna give you such a piece of my mind, when I get around to it    "    Well the trees came DOWN!! And, NOT on the house. In fact he dropped them right where they had to go. In fact he only cut the back one, the front tree was already leaning on the back one. WOW!! Thank god it was leaning that way, 'cause the other way was at the HOUSE!! So all is comfortable again. I think I have gotten down the big trees that don't look to good. I will keep an eye on a couple of them this winter, but for now I think we're good!! Sold an item on eBay this week!! My fantasy baseball teams are doing pretty well. I have 7 of the 8 in the 'upper division'. I am in 1st place with one team, and 2nd place with two others, with one of those having a chance to get to 1st!! COOL!! I am at a hard spot in the guitar lessons, I am learning how to 'stay with the rhythm'. I got a metronome and am working on staying on beat. It is a LOT harder than I thought. But, practice makes OK???? We'll see. I have been able to stay home the last several days, so I feel better. Had to go shopping after guitar practice and that just wore me thin. Still got a little hip pain off and on, but dealing with it. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! Who's in for the college football playoff .. They ALL are!!

    "    When love comes so late it'll really hit hard, it slams through the gate it'll catch you off guard, everyone said "what a perfect love match, 'cause she's so smart she's a hell of a catch", I was drinking in love I was gulping it down, drifted for months on a billowing cloud, but after awhile I stopped to rebel, I'm back in the past and I'm raising up hell    "    Well been a good weekend. Got the chairs looked at and some extra screws added. Guy came by and looked at the two trees I want cut down. He thinks he can get it done this week. He will take the wood in exchange for cutting the trees. COOL!! My yard just looks a mess, some grass is growing, around the drain field, and some is not. BUT, the weeds are growing ALL over!! I need to mow it, but it maybe another week or so. Seems to be some 'little' things going on. The remote to my fan in the bedroom has failed, so I got to find a new remote (only) I hope. The bug zapper's light on the front porch has gone out. So, once again I will try to find just the bulb!! I know that practicing guitar is taking up more time than I first thought. But I do really love it. Seems like I am going to the grocery store twice or three times a week. Not buying anything big, but going to get stuff we are almost out of. So be it, I guess some of that is the end of summer stuff that just seems to happen. Let everyone settle back into their routines and get back to normal stuff. It should be another planned out week. HI ALL!! Washington State Fair OR do the Puyallup

    "    I'm glad I opened your eyes, the have-nots have tried to freeze you in ice, .. .. I was just passing the time, I'm all alone won't you give all your sympathy to mine, tell me a story about how you adore me, live in the shadow see through the shadow, live through the shadow, tear at the shadow    "    Well how goes it?? Been a busy week again. But, not as busy as last week. The state fair starts today and they have a new mascot, it's a BIG yellow furry thing that is suppose to look like a Sasquatch, I think. Now there is a theme song and all. It's "go to the Washington State Fair", when it use to be just "do the Puyallup". My how things have changed. And, MAYBE, NOT for the better. Anyway, nothing going on with eBay, still got a couple of days to go. My fantasy baseball teams have been doing quite well the last week of so. I am in First place with one, second place with two of them, and in the upper division (you remember what that is) with all but two of them!! COOL!! Finally was able to get the new chairs squared away, and they seem to be working just fine. I would still like my bro-in-law to take a look at them. My guitar lessons are going well. I am starting to get some song riffs and filling in stuff. I am still practicing about an hour or so a day, some days maybe two. I think I am starting to learn the hard stuff now. Looks like it's about time to start the round of doctor visits again. I got a notice from one insurance company that they want info about me still on disability. And the other doc sent me a letter telling me it's time for a follow up. COOL!! Still thinking it's too hot out, but still BBQ'ing!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! can't wear white after Labor Day

    "    Honey is there any place you would like to eat, I know a coffee shop down on Fifty-Second Street, and I don't need no fancy food. and I don't need no fancy wine, and I sure don't need the tears you cry, .. .. Yeah a movie house on Forty-Second street, ain't a very lovely place for you and I to meet, watching the snow swirl around your hair and around your feet, and I'm thinking to myself, she surly looks a treat    "    Is that still true?? No white after Labor day?? I wonder, and if so, when can you start wearing white again? After Halloween?? Thanksgiving?? Christmas?? The New Year?? Makes one wonder. Well a busy week, and still things to do. My 'fix' for the new chairs did NOT work. So today I am going to have to come up with something else. I think I can drill a pilot hole and then insert a long screw with a washer on it to hold them in place. OF course this all was suppose to be done by my brother-in-law. My sister volunteered to help "whenever you need it". Then said it would be three weeks before they could get over and help. Well we managed to get the chairs here, now I have to raise them off the floor so Mom can get in and out with out issues. But my sister doesn't seem to "grasp" that!! I just can not get on the floor with my condition, and I get so weak so fast from trying. But to watch Mom struggle in and out of those chairs, something has to be done. I get so tired of my sister's mouth writing checks that her husband can't cash!!  I thought for a long time that she would eventually 'get it'. But I was so wrong!!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! college football season has started

    "    In your high school photo, you looked so young and naive, now I heard you got a nickname, the lady with the leash, was it funny on the midnight shift, I bet you had your fair share of stiffs, there were onerous odors I got to admit, .. .. who you got there in that hood, you look so fancy in those photographs, with your rubber gloves on you're the favorite with the Chiefs of Staff    "    Well what a busy week it has been. Had to take the Rogue in on Tuesday. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light has been on for about two weeks. I have had it checked by the local tire place and they could not find anything wrong. So I took the car to the dealer and had some other service stuff done too. OK, they found a faulty TPMS unit in the Left Rear tire and changed it. I had just $100 deductible to pay and then the rest was covered by my extended warranty. Also had a bad battery, OK headed home. About half way home the TPMS light came on AGAIN!! WOW!! So I called when I got home. The service manager was not sure, bring the car back tomorrow and they will check it over again. Soooo, back to the dealer on Wednesday. YES, the Right Rear sensor was bad. You know these are a sealed unit, with a battery in them. So I would think if one is out, the other three have to be close behind?!?! OK, got that fixed at no extra charge and back home. YES, the light stayed off!! Then Thursday it was in for guitar lessons. The whole week we are sitting on rocker recliners that are TOO low. My sister had promised her hubby to come over and put the chairs upon wood blocks like we had done with the old living room chairs. Well NO!!, he was too busy getting them ready for rendezvous. It may be three weeks!!?? You got to be kidding, Mom can barely get out of the chair as it is now, no way she makes it three weeks. I guess I will have to look at it this weekend. I just can't get down on the floor and attach the wood blocks. I will try to figure something out. AGAIN!! My sister is ALWAYS quick to offer up help " When ever you need it!" But can NEVER seem to provide it when you REALLY do need it!! WHAT EVER!! One of these days I will learn, I HOPE!! Not much else going on. Have managed to sell a couple of items on eBay, after I put stuff on sale. Hope it continues. Just seems like there is a lot going on, HVAC, Rogue, Broken guitar string, Car tabs, Chair raisers, etc, etc. CHOW MOI!!
