HI ALL!! play for two, infield up, strikeout

    "    But it's hard to forget 'cause it seems like it's yesterday, the day that we first met, when you gave me a smoldering look and put out your cigarette, when I saw you sauntering over, you wore a pale blue dress, life is short one look and it's over, comes as quite a shock, all I got is some memories, stuck  in an old shoe box     " Well it is a windy one today! Finally got the alarm fixed -again-! It keeps wanting to pop the AFCI. But it has been eleven months since the last time. So the guy rerouted the electric to the main box and now we'll see. Funny how all the problems started when I feel against the transformer and pulled it out of the socket. They claim all the internals have been replaced, but it still wants to trip the breaker. Albeit once every eleven months!! Now we'll see if this solves the issue. Not much else going o, have started my Christmas shopping. We are doing "care packages" this year. This time everyone is buying a couple of items for everyone, instead of drawing names. Nothing going on with eBay, and I am still plucking away on my guitar. I will start soon to learn a Christmas song, maybe two. I hope to have my son-in-law play with me. Should be a rainy and windy weekend, and then several doctor appointments next week. I wonder if we will get any trick-or-treaters this year?? We have not had any that I can remember since I have lived out hear. Outside of a neighbor or relative. But we buy candy every year!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! hashtag, hasbrowns, salted caramel

    "    Let's take a walk just you and me, and talk of days gone by, across the fields under the trees, let's speak of you and I, while the whole world was wandering we walked a steady line, when all ours friends were wavering we kept on trying    "    Well been a rainy one here today. I guess we get a break in the rain for tomorrow, then it comes back for about a week or so. Which is fine, that's what it does in the Pacific North West!! Good weekend, quiet and a little guitar. Chatted with one daughter, still waiting on the other. I am starting to make rumblings about the holidays. Trying to get people to start thinking about and planning for it. As one daughter put it, "it's a process"!! YES, YES IT IS!! I think I have a direction on my guitar playing, I am going to concentrate on the songs I know at this point and get better with them. I have this urge to go out and try and learn a TON of songs. But, that is just not practical. I still need to get better at PLAYING the guitar first. I have not reached 'Rock God Master' YET. I think I do have a name for the Magic Black Ax. That's it, Magic Black Ax, OR MBA for short!! Love it!! Couple of things for this week, and then next week. I have jury duty call ins starting the 3rd week of November. Should be nothing but fun!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! can we BBQ that

I think(??) I have found the best Medicare coverage for next year. Looks like all I will have to give up is my pharmacy. And I should be able to get my prescriptions through the mail at a cheaper price than I'm paying now. I HOPE?! Been a good week. Lots of practice time on the 'Black Magic Ax'. I STILL am struggling with two important songs. But am making some progress.. I have the tabs to what I want, now just getting the rhythm part to match. One of them, should NOT be a problem, the other one, NOT SO MUCH. One is about 60 bpm, the other is 119 bpm!! The first one has a different challenge because a lot of the song is 'picked'. I want to take on some others, but for now I will just practice what I got.  I did go on-line and watch several vids. They were all about 'barring' THAT is going to be HARD!! I have practiced some of that. I decided it would be easier just not to play any songs that have barring in them. Nothing going on with eBay, one sale this week, a small one. Trying to take care of some other things around the house before winter (if we get one) gets here. Still waiting to see my youngest daughter for several days. Seems she is away doing some kind of TV thing with a couple of friends for mountain biking. Yeah I know 'very cool', but daddy still wants to see her. Mom is working in her new hearing aids. I try to speak at a normal voice, but she doesn't seem to hear me. So I raise my voice so she can. Makes me feel like I am screaming at her. TV is now played at about a '24', instead of the normal '20'. She goes in every two weeks for adjustments until they are correct. I hope it goes quickly!! Decided I am done with the BBQ, it is just too broken up to safely BBQ on it. Will wait till next year and get a new one. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! do what you think, think what you do

    "    Yeah you got to mix it child you got to fix it must be love, .. .. , sometimes I'm sexy move like a stud, kicking the stall all night, sometimes I'm so shy got to be worked on, don't have no bark or bike alright, yeah when you call my name I salivate like a Pavlov dog, yeah when you lay me out my heart is bumpin' louder than a big bass drum, alright    "    Well was a quick weekend. Had to do a little grocery shopping yesterday. Not sure why the weekend flew by so quick. Tried to spend time looking up chords and tabs for a couple of songs, Spent this morning practicing 'Angie'. It is just SO very tough. I know I'm only two months in, but I was hoping for some quicker progress. I have gotten the tabs written down, so now it's just practice practice practice!! I am still playing other stuff I learned and that is coming along great! Managed to sell as item off of eBay, one of my 'TOP 10'. So very cool. Need to set aside some more time to resolve my Medicare stuff. Probably tomorrow. Want to make sure that my pharmacy and doctors are covered by who ever I chose. Looks like I will be going with a 'supplemental plan' AND a 'drug plan'. OH JOY!! And it looks like those will cost me about $45 more a month. WOW!! Just when you thought everything was settling down. This BS shows up! Got all my doctor appointments set up for a couple of weeks down the line. Will need to go give blood one day this week. Several other things just simmering on the back burner for now. Hope to sell more eBay items this week, and make some GOOD progress on that guitar thing.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! bat flip this

    "    Honey honey call me on the telephone, I know you're movin' out to Hollywood, with your can of tasty foam, all those beat up friends of mine, got to get you in their books, lead guitars and movie stars get their tongues beneath your hood    "    Well been a busy, busy day. Got started with paying bills, then had to research Medicare coverage. I am losing my ' Advantage ' plan because the insurance company I have had got bought out and is discontinuing the coverage I had. THANKS HUMANA!! FOR NOTHING!! I thought I had a company all picked out. My regular doctor was a member, but my GI was not. Well today I discovered that where I buy my prescriptions is NOT covered either. That's about $1400 a year. So I went researching. I think, I THINK, I found another plan. It's a 'supplement' plan that both my doctors belong to. BUT, I got to get a separate 'drug' plan. I think, again, I found one of those too. I will let it settle for the weekend, and take another look at it on Monday. I also today filled out my jury notice on line. I got a notice in the mail yesterday. FUN TIMES!!  You know I watched the ALDS and saw the 'bat flip' from Jose Bautista. It made me wonder. What if he had done that against someone like, oh I don't know Nolan Ryan. I know what would have happened. The next time he got into the batters box the first pitch would have been 99 mph 'chin music'!! He would NOT have put up with that. Nor do I blame him. I understand all the 'emotions' and all. But I still think that is showing up someone, and that just doesn't happen in the majors. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! paralysis through analysis

The baseball playoffs are in full swing. Plenty of baseball to watch. BUT, you know that every week or so there are less and less teams left. Been plucking away on the guitar. I am a little scattered. Not sure what direction I want to go. I will still use the book I got from my lessons, and will go to the inter-web. But I feel at times I am just jumping from song to song. I do not feel that is the right way to go.  I just have to make sure I get a plan and follow it. Finally got the kitchen ceiling lights changed. They were WAY UP there. Had to have the neighbor come over with his 20 ft "A" frame latter and take care of it for me. WOW!! What a difference LED's make!! It is so much brighter and it is a much clearer, or whiter light. Very nice. I still have six more to replace anything that burns out in other parts of the house. The new outside lights are very nice too. Been spending WAY TOO much time on medicare advantage insurance. Still shuffling through the options and what not for a new plan. It looks like I will have to drop one of my doctors. But, I GOT to have insurance! Went shopping on Saturday, WOW, spent plenty!! Saved over 25% off my bill with different coupons and discounts. Got some great food however. Was able to get my flu shot also. So I am getting set for the winter, I think.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! .. can ya hear me now

    "    A smile relieves a heart that grieves, remember what I say, I'm not waiting on a lady, .. .. don't need a whore I don't need no booze, don't need a virgin priest, but I need someone I can dry to, I need someone to protect, making love and breaking hearts, that's a game for youth, but I'm not waiting on a lady    "    Well mom went in to get new hearing aids. These cost like $5800. She has to pay some, insurance pays some and the rest is covered by a group called Angel Ears. Thank Goodness!! So we are now going through the adjustment stage. I came home the other day, TV was turned up to about '26', normal around '20'. She never heard me come in and say "HI". Didn't know I was home till she saw me. WOW!! Went in and had an adjustment  done yesterday. With several more to come. She has to get the back ground noise in check, the TV, people talking, etc, etc. So it could be awhile!! Did sell an item off of eBay this week. And finished my guitar lessons. Now I am back on my own. I am working on two songs. One of them is coming along nicely, learning a few tricks etc. The other one, not so much. It is played fast and several chord changes. My two weaknesses. But that is what practice is for. I have plenty of stuff to work on to keep learning. Have not decided to what level I want to get. I just want to be able to play some of my favorite songs. Since most of those are Rolling Stones, I am in for a long trip!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! sunny start to Fall

    She would never say where she came from, yesterday don't matter if it's gone, while the sun is bright or in the darkest night, no one knows she comes and goes, .. .. don't question why she needs to be so free, she'll tell you it's the only way to be, she just can't be chained to a life where nothing's gained, and nothing's lost at such a cost    "    Well was able to BBQ again this weekend. The weather just keeps keeping on. I even went out yesterday and practiced my guitar on the deck. Just plugged in and let it RIP!! Very nice!! I have one pro lesson left, then will need to figure out how to keep advancing with the use of the inter-web. I think I will go back to the guy I first watched when I got my guitar. I was about four lessons in with him before I went to the pros. I'll see how for that takes me. Maybe I'll get a few lessons for Xmas!?!? Well fantasy baseball is over. I finished 1st in one league, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th (in three), and 8th. In one of the leagues a team lost 19 points on the last day of the season!! I don't even know how that is possible. I have seen teams lose double digits in the very early parts of the season. But, NEVER that many points at ANY time!! WOW!! There is a perfect example of a guy just skipping out and going to football. With no concern about the rest of the teams in his league. That is the ONE thing I do NOT like the most. Hope to be able to spend a lot of time with the guitar this week. I feel like I should be several songs in by now. I don't know, will have a chat with my instructor about a good path to take. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! .. LED lighting for all

"    Well she's very wealthy it's true, so in that she is one up on you, she's dressed all in red white and blue, and she always knows more than you do, she's so affected, .. .. she knows who to smile to today, she has just been brought up that way, she knows all the right games to play, and she always just knows what to say    "    Well I have gotten in some LED lighting for around and in the house. I got some outdoor 'bug' lights that are LED and not suppose to a tracked bugs. My 'yellow' spirals  were just not doing a good job. AND, the LED's are suppose to be cheaper to operate. I also got in some LED's for the ceiling lighting in my house. I have vaulted ceilings in the kitchen, probably 15 to 20 ft high. I have to have the neighbor bring over his 20 ft "A" frame latter to change them out. I had put in spirals, but one burned out the other day. So I figured it was time to go to LED's. They are cheaper to operate and are suppose to run for like 20 years of normal use. We shall see!! Still plucking away on the electric guitar, AND still enjoying it!! You know it dawned on me the other day I have not named my black guitar yet. I will have to think about that. Soooooo many names jump to mind, and ALL of them are inappropriate!! COOL!! not much on eBay, did get one item sold and a worthless offer on another item. Someone else thinking I was trying to GIVE away my stuff. NOT happening fool!! Last weekend on fantasy baseball. I am 1st in one league, 2nd in one, 3rd in one, and 5th in four others. I had a great time this year with them. I did get asked to join in a private league next year. I probably will. CHOW MOI!!
