HEY ALL!! hanging onto promises of yesterday

    "    You look a little dressed up, you're acting way too smart, your face a little bit blushed, for a walk in the park, and you're clutching your phone, as you walk in the dark, and your smile's got a twist, you're looking so hard core    "    Well up early, like always, and out to the car place to have my truck looked at, want to see what's wrong with the AC and what it will cost to fix it. Well, GREAT news, nothing was wrong, just low on refrigerant, and not all that low for not doing anything for the last 15 months. They could NOT find any leaks or problems. COOL!! And it only cost me $120.00!! It has been a VERY hot weekend. The inside temp has been around 80 degrees or more for most of the weekend!! I just can't figure out how to get it cooled off. What seems to work for a little while, doesn't later, and it's frustrating. I REALLY do miss my heat pump!!!! I think we will have to get a ceiling fan installed. Should have another bid or two in by the end of the week for the bathroom remodel. Still not quite sure what we.re going to do. Have been trying to figure out what is the best course to take, and where do I get the money from???? Still grillin' away!! Really starting to feel comfortable in the penthouse. Just got to get it cooler!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! Chunky Monkey non-dairy .. stay in your lane

    "    Well it winds from Chicago to LA, more than 2000 miles all the way, well goes from St Louie down to Missouri, well Oklahoma City looks oh so pretty, you'll see Amarillo and Gallup, New Mexico, Flagstaff, Arizona, don't forget Winona, Kingman, Barstow, San Bernadino, would you get hip to this kindly tip, and go take that California trip    "    Well had a good week, got reimbursed from the Escrow company down south for double paying the county property taxes when the house sold. COOL!! Also, found Non-Dairy Ben & Jerry's CHUNKY MONKEY!!!! I have been staying away from ALL dairy stuff for several months now. I feel better, and really haven't missed it. Found non-dairy butter and some non-dairy frozen desserts. But, found CHUNKY MONKEY (!!) my favorite frozen dessert!! Things are starting to settle down. Have NOT heard a word from down south -GOOD, the way it should be- and may have found someone to weld our broken deck chair. I contacted the Community College near us and am going to take the chair over to them to look at after they get back from a summer break. They should be back after the 4TH. Still grillin' away every day!!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! between Father's Day and Birthday

    "    What's that look on your face, it must have been the walk of shame, your eyes are all red get ready for bed, your hair's all over the place, looking at the Sunday papers up with all the latest, it was so quiet    "    Well today is an odd day, one day past Father's Day, and one day before what would have been my dad's 87th birthday. I still miss him and think of him every day. Had a GREAT day with my kids yesterday. One made it for dinner, the other one called, she is some where in Idaho?? I guess that's where we got the term Bumfuck, Idaho from.... Had a LATE dinner, but I did a GREAT job on grillin' the steaks!1 AND they were BIG!! Had some grilled mushrooms and onions, along with grilled potatoes. VERY GOOD!! Got to watch the US Open and just a nice day all around. Got some 'tasks to do this weekend. Need to make some phone calls and get some stuff bundled up. Nothing going on with eBay at all. Hope to get back to playing guitar -EVERY DAY- this week also. And really feel that I need to get some of these miscellaneous things wrapped up and finalized!!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! US Open and new quarter window

    "    Ooh see the fire is sweepin' our very street today, burns like a red coal carpet, mad bull lost it's way    "    Well it has been a busy week. Been out and about several times. Got mom to DSHS and got her updated there. Then off to get a new stereo AND finally get the new driver's side quarter window replaced. So the truck is back to lookin' good again. I REALLY like the new stereo, got a Kenwood this time instead of the Alpine I had before. All systems work and it looks VERY COOL!! Still need to get the AC system working and replace the windshield. But will work on getting those things done as I can. Still trying to get a contractor out here to replace one of the tub/showers with a walk-in shower. I still can't believe how difficult that has been to do. Also would like to get a ceiling fan installed. And will need an electrician to do that. But got shopping and other errands out of the way. Should be able to chill this weekend and enjoy the US Open golf tournament. Been able to watch some of it so far. I know one daughter is out of town, and the other has previous plans and my be by Sunday. But as I have told them in the past, we can always do daddy day some other time. I enjoy watching the US Open. so I'm good with that. Nothing going on with eBay, I did start a sale yesterday, so let's see what develops. Still trying to get final stuff wrapped up from the old house. One last item is a refund from Chase. Who knows how long that could take!!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! broken window missing stereo and Oakley's

    "    Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste, I've been around for a long long year, stole many a man's soul and faith, and I was 'round when Jesus Christ had his moment of doubt and pain, made damn sure that Pilate washed has hands and sealed his fate, pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name, but what's puzzling you  is the nature of my game    "    Well it finally happened!! I had my truck broken into! First time I have EVER had any car I owned broken into!! They tool the stereo and my OAKLEY'S!!! The stereo is about 10 years old, the Oakley's were a gift and I'm sure worth three times the stereo!! They busted out the rear side window on the driver's side, nice round hole to reach through and unlock the door. The sad parts, I should have removed the face plate of the stereo, I got lazy in doing that over the  last eight years!! It was one of those that you could remove the face plate to make it less likely to be stolen. So I'm off to replace the broken window and find a new stereo. I do have another pair of Oakley's, but NOT as cool as the ones that were stolen. Now that I don't have a garage to park in I will have to be more vigilant in making sure things are NOT left in the cars!! I also will park in a different spot. I'd parked kind of out of the way, because I really don't drive the Ranger that much. Well NOT any more!! Also, the cost is ALL on me, I only have State required liability insurance, cut it back when I was not driving so much to save money. Well now I can take all those savings and buy a new window, stereo, and Oakley's!!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! penthouse loving it where's the sales

    "    I got a brand new car and I like to drive real hard, I got a brand new car and I'm feeling good so far, take her on the highway for a little spin, I want to see the kind of shape she's in, and I got a brand new star    "    Well been a good week, got the refrigerator in and am in the process of getting the temps in the freezer and refer part just right. I am making small adjustments to get there. I think I am almost there. I want 0 degrees for the freezer and under 40 degrees for the refer. Getting close! Did a big shopping day yesterday, got restocked. I think we are spending a little less for food up here than we were at the old place. Not much else going on, eBay is just NOT happening!! I don't know what's going on!?!? I feel like I am getting lots of 'looks' but not any offers of sales. I guess patience is the key here. BUT, come on!! Someones got to be buying!! Still trying to get the money owed from the adjustment to our 2nd mortgage from Chase Mortgage. What a pain!! If we owed then the money they;d be beating down my door!! The last call the guy tried to tell me it was a misprint(??) I just hammered him. He said he would investigate and call me back within the hour. That was 48 HOURS AGO!!!! Looks like another call on Monday, and I will hammer on a supervisor, after I get passed around several times. This is stupid!! They sent me a letter telling me an adjustment had been made and what I owed. Then I had to pay the old balance because the adjustment hadn't gone through yet. So I got escrow papers telling me what I paid and a letter from Chase telling me by reduced balance!! Will just keep plugging at it till I get my money!!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! new refrigerator and lots of grilling

    "    I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield, listening to gospel music on the colored radio station, and the preacher said you know you always have the lord by your side, and I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ran twenty red lights in his honor, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Lord    "    Well got the new refer delivered to day. VERY NICE!! It is SO quiet and fits perfectly. Seems to be more room in both the freezer and refrigerator parts. Just been going a long, not much happening. Both daughters are VERY busy, one because it's the end of the school year and there's lots to do, the other because it's the main part of the biking season. I am not sure what will go on for Father's Day. Of course the standing advice is to limit your contact with me, as I will be watching the US Open Golf Tournament. We will then get together later and do 'daddy's day'. Plus my birthday comes VERY quickly!! Have not had any contact with my problem sister, and quite frankly it's BEST that way!! I have been 'uninvited' to her birthday party. Of course I was NOT going anyway. Now mom will not be going either. I think one daughter will be there. I have given her a 'heads up' on ANY kind of crap she gets from her Aunt. My advise was to just leave if it gets heavy! Anyway, things are peaceful and VERY nice in the penthouse. Really enjoying the everyday grilling!! It is SO COOL to be able to grill when ever you want. Not having to worry about the weather. Nothing going on with eBay, I am confused.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! June and the sun comes out

    "    Well I'm a mix up baby and I'm a yellin', I wanna dance and I don't know, I'm a little mixed up, taklin' about you, well I know I'm callin' Daisy, and I borrow some clothes, I'm OK and talkin' to you    "    It seems to be a confusing time. I am trying to get some bathroom remolding done. I want to take out one of the bath.shower combos, and put in just a walk-in shower. I think doing that conversion in the Master Bath is the best. I have had four contractors out here. I have gotten ONE estimate -$8500.00-, the others I am still waiting on. Maybe they don't want to do the job?? Or they are just bad at follow up?? I am even having issues getting some contractors to return my calls. They all say how busy they are. Well I have learned that you need to keep the business rolling in. When you stop trying to get business, it will go away, and you will NOT have any work!! Then the ongoing spat with my sister. She has been quiet the last week or so. But, I know better. This is all just her plan. Then I want to make some changes to help with keeping this place cool in the summer. Not quite sure what I want to do, I'm thinking about a ceiling fan. But, then again I will have to find an electrician and it will have to be surface mounted. I don't see any way the wires can be hidden up in the ceiling. Just seems like a lot of 'unknown' stuff going on. I have been trying to play more guitar, not at 'an hour every day' yet, but have played several times. I just haven't found the 'right' spot to play yet. Seems to be a lot of glare coming in through the sliding glass door. Makes it hard to read the music and see all the strings like I want to. But, just keep keeping on!!  CHOW MOI!!
