HI ALL!! cyber Monday and plenty of wind

    "    When I travel coast to coast, you're the hook up I miss the most, in the hotel you're the ghost, other women don't come close, from the first time such a crush, such excitement such a rush, in the kitchen in the car, in the ditch on the dirty floor    "    Well had a good weekend, spent most of it trying to get more items lined up and scanned and ready to add to eBay. It's a slow and tedious project, but I'm getting there. Should have about 200 or more new items to add on. Plus it reminds me of just how intense my collection was/is!! The weather has been OK, we are in for strong winds today, and more rain. Had a fire alarm go off last night, about 7 PM. One of the owners was cooking bacon, burnt it, he went to open the sliding door, his daughter opened the front door to the hallway. Well ALL the smoke went into the hallway and tripped the smoke alarm. Fire department showed up, double checked everything and back to normal. Fun times. Got a rather full week coming up, several calls to make and errands to run.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! black Friday cyber Monday just spend more

    "    I tried to tell the woman but she doesn't believe a word I said, go light pretty baby gonna need my help some day, it's all right pretty baby gonna need my help some day, you're gonna wish you listened to some of those things I said    "    Well had a very nice Thanksgiving. Mom and I just chilled all day. Had Cornish Game Hens for dinner with mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. VERY TASTY!! A little wine and things went great. Quick text with the girls and just a quite pleasant day. Did get a chance to work on some eBay items that I've got to get listed soon. Even managed to sell a couple of eBay items this week. COOL!! Got plenty going on next week, I am compiling quite a list of "to do's" that I need to work on. Not much else going on, hope eBay stuff keeps selling and the weather has warmed a bit, but turned RAINY!! CHOW MOI!!

    "    Got the Monday mornin' bill, Monday wasn't really real, on lying on a naked bed, with an Alka Seltzer head, dippidy dog do all right, oh Lucy looked sweet just a-strollin' down Newport Street, talkin' 'bout Lu what ya gon' do, and I feel so bad, have you ever been had    "    Well ended up having a SUPER Thanksgiving with the girls and their boys yesterday. All kinda prompt to. They both figured they had free time on Saturday, and it was Sunday. So we got things together and had a very nice time. Plenty of food, had bone-in rib steak roast, and plenty of other stuff. They got to spend some time here and just chatted and cooked. Very nice. Now everyone off their own separate ways. Mom and I will have a quiet Thanksgiving day, I think Cornish game hens are on tap. I know one of the daughters is hosting a turn out. Not much else going on this week. Couple of small things for the HOA, and maybe(?), maybe(?) an errand. I just do NOT like being out and about during this week leading up to T-day. Just too many others out and about. People getting short on patience, etc. So I'll try to stay safely in the penthouse and just let the outside world do it's thing. I've certainly been in the middle of plenty of that in the past, no need for it now.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the roof, the groceries, and other things

    "    I hear you talking when I'm on the street, your mouth don't move but I can hear you speak, what's the matter with the boy, he don't come around no more, is he checking out for sure, is he going to close the door on me, I'm always hearing voices on the street, I want to shout but I can hardly speak    "    Well it was a FULL day yesterday. Had the roofer come by and take a hard look at our roof. There is s debate going on about when the roof was put on, some say 1998, some say 1996, some say 2002. No one quiet knows for sure. But regardless on when it was put on, the only question to consider is, how long will it last, and when do we need to replace it?? That's the $150,000 question. He will send us a detailed report and then the board will sit down and discuss it. Also headed off to the store for groceries. WOW!! Spent more than I really thought we should, but OK. We should be set, except for fresh veggies for the rest of the month. Still not sure what we are doing for the holidays. I think Thanksgiving has taken care of itself, but not 100% sure. Looks like prime rib for Christmas. Nothing going on with eBay, thinking about having my second account take out a store subscription, for a year and then list a whole bunch of 'Gar stuff, and more 'Express' stuff. I just think it's time. Should also be listing starter sets on the main account too. Been dealing with a 'pain' under my left shoulder blade and back, only hurts when I put weight on it, or stretch that side. Was feeling better yesterday until the long time at the store. Feels better this morning, so I think some babying along over the weekend should help. Not much else going on. Got to pay bills and some miscellaneous paper work today. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! THANKS TO ALL THE VETERANS WHO PROTECTED US

    "    And I just came into town, well I heard so much about London, I decided to check it out, well I wait in Leicester Square, with a come-hither look in my eye, yeah I'm leaning on Nelsons column, but all I do is talk to the lions    "    Well it was a good weekend. Just chilled and relaxed. It had been a busy week, my youngest came down Friday and took G'ma to the nail place and then stayed for dinner. Fun times as always. She is staying very busy with her new company, so proud of how she's getting the project off and running so well!! Did manage to sell an item on eBay, need to spend some time today getting more items ready to list on eBay and on Sportlots. Trying to get some 'partial' sets listed. Probably list them as 'starter' sets and see how it goes. I just got SOOO much 'extra' cards that I'm not sure how to get rid of them. So I'll start here and see what happens. Weather has been cold but no wet. Took the Rouge in and had the tire pressure sensors replaced. Need to get both rigs in for winterizing so they are ready for the cold weather. Have been struggling with the baseboard heaters/thermostat. Just can't quite get the temp right for the whole day. The thermostat is about 3 degrees warmer than any other thermometer in the house. So just adjusting it one degree at a time.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! mid-term done, stocks set to run

    "    Now who's that black girl in the bright blue hair, oh yeah, now don't you know that it's rude to stare, on yeah, I'm not so green but I'm feeling so fresh, I simply like to put her to the test, she's so alive and she's dressed to kill    "    Well the mid-term elections are DONE!! So then are the way TOO many political ads. Now back to normal, people out on the streets protesting over something. You'd think that if they voted why are they protesting?? Unless their candidate/initiative lost. But, still, that's the chance you take when you vote, you don't ALWAYS win!! I think the real problem here is that when someone (anyone) says something 'out of bounds' then the opposition HAS to respond in kind. Then it's off to the races. What would happen if the opposition, DIDN'T respond?? Just thoughts from the penthouse..... Was able to do some grilling this week, the weather has turned COLD!! I seem to be having problems with my thermostat. It reads anywhere from 3 to 5 degrees warmer than ANY other thermometer in the house. I've got to get a new thermostat for this year. I have baseboard heaters and need to keep them 'in check' to control the electric bill. Nothing going on with eBay at this time. Been a busy week and I think the next several will be just as busy. Fun times.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! show 'em the curve or give 'em the heater Ricky

    "    I live in an apartment on the ninety-ninth floor of my block, and I sit at home looking out the window imagining the world has stopped, then in flies a guy who's all dressed up like a union jack, and says I've won five pounds if I have his kind of detergent pack    "    Well if you thought the title today was two well known lines from two baseball related movies, you'd be right. But the first line is also from a Samsung commercial about their new curved monitors. And today I went out and bought one of them for my computer. I've been having problems with the old Samsung monitor I had. It will turn on in the morning, then go black, come back to normal, then black, and so on, and so on, and so on, and etc. Today it took several hours before it was able to function normally. It has been taking about 20 minutes the last week or so. So after all the research I did on the 'ol inter-web. I thought it was time to go get a new monitor before the old one crashed for good in the middle of paying bills or doing eBay or something. I had time to day so out I went. Got a good deal from Best Buy and lots of help from the guy/ So happy with it. Hope it last as long as the old one, about 7 years. Whilst I was out and about, I swung in and got ALL of my hairs cut!! Down to a " 4 "!! Now I'm ready for the winter, and my eldest daughter!! Fun times!! Not much else going on, got several more errands to run this week. Seems like it will be busy.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! flickering monitor flickering weather

    "    Baby the truth is out so don't deny, baby to think I believed all your lies, darlin' I can't stand to see your face, it's the truth you understand    "    Well woke up this morning and turned on the computer and had a screen that kept turning on and off. It also has been having blue and white lines streaking horizontally through it for the past several weeks now. Well all research on the inter-web indicates a monitor about to go out. OH GOODY!!  Well it's been 4 years or so since I bought this one. Maybe it's time. Fun times ahead. Been dealing with HOA stuff. I think I finally got the budget squared away, I converted it to quarterly instead of monthly. Makes more sense, since our dues come in on a quarterly basis. The ex-pres got a call from the roofing company. Soliciting for a new roof, cause ours is at the end of it's expected time frame. Funny thing though, he tells the ex-pres that it was put on in 1998, same time he did another one in the area. Yet, doing some research in a Reserve Study that was done in 2010, and talking to one of the board members at the time. Both say it was done in 2002. OK, 4 years is 4 years, gives us more time to get funds raised. BUT, we still need eyes on the roof and a professional review. Then the ex-pres gets off on a tangent about the water heaters, INSISTS that the board just levy a $100 plus special assessment to EVERYONE, for the next 3.5 years to raise the money for the roof, and then keep the assessment going for another 3.5 years to pay for new windows.(??) AGAIN, when ever he brings up a topic, it ALWAYS seems to lead back to the WINDOWS!! WOW!! I'm tired of that. He thinks we should just go in and FORCE everyone to replace their water heaters. According to our attorney who has actual READ our founding papers, we CAN'T do that. We can get an amendment passed that would allow us to do that, but we can only 'strongly suggest' at this point. WOW!! Just is so weird coming from him and his attitude since he stepped down. The weather has turned rainy, and ye I have not heard ONE word about how well the repaired balconies are performing with the rain. How soon they forget. We are still dealing with suspicious cars in and out of our parking lot. Trying to get license numbers so we can report them.  CHOW MOI!!
