HI ALL!! Huskies WIN the Rose Bowl .. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Several BIG HOA things to take care of, looks like we will have new board members for the up coming year, and really no surprise to me. Been busy with the new printer/scanner (it is MARVELOUS!!) getting things ready to relist on eBay. Have even sold a couple of items. The new scanner has some great features that let me get pics scanned quicker, and better than the old one did. No plans for NYE, little TV and what not, it could be a challenge JUST to stay awake till mid-night! Waiting on new bedroom curtains and rods to get in, and ordered some 'extra' curtain panels for the living room. One set of the new curtains is just NOT wide enough. Those should be arriving within the next week, then just make plans with daughters to get them hung. Got some miscellaneous stuff going this week, but I don't think much.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! scanner went out, lights stayed on

    "    Baby baby I've been so sad since you've been gone, way back to New York City where you do belong, honey I miss your two ton kisses, legs wrapped around me tight, if I ever get back to fun city girl I'm gonna make you scream all night    "    Well another busy and spendy couple of days. The scanner has been giving me issues for several months now, making LOTS of grinding and rubbing noises, not finishing scans, and some times not a clear scan. So it finally got to a point where it was hanging up and NOT scanning. So time for a new one. Found a great sale and what I think will be a great all-in-one printer/scanner. So far it is VERY nice. Now I'm back to scanning away for eBay. Trying to get more items ready to list. Did have a couple of sales through the holidays, which is nice. Been out running several errands the past several days, managed to get more curtains and rods ordered, and they should be here soon. The new thermal curtains we got seem to be doing their job. Both of us can feel a difference in the temp in the living room at night! Hope to have a quiet couple of days leading up to the New Year, I can only hope.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! Christmas eve -good times- MERRY CHRISTMAS

    "    Won't you give me the low down just as quick as you can, baby I've been out of touch just give me the scam, don't give me the sports page baby no political news, don't you give me the gossip just give me the truth    "    Well here we are, CHRISTMAS EVE!! WOW!! It was a great week. Had the daughters and their boys AND the nephew over for some Christmas time! Exchanged a few gifts, plenty of GREAT food and just some good 'ol sittin' and chatin'. Even managed to get through it all with losing power for about 5 hours during the day. Then had the eldest and son-in-law over for dinner and hung up our new thermal curtains. I've been learning a lot about curtains in the past several weeks. The new curtains look GREAT, and seem to do a great job on the thermal thing. I need to get several more panels to get them to fit right, and some slight adjustments on the height of the curtain rod, and we will be set!! Ran a few errands, had to take the nephew back to the ferries yesterday. Traffic was good, the weather was fine, so nice trip. Should be able to chill and relax for several days through the Christmas holiday, as the kids are out and about.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! stuck in elevator no power

    "    Felling so tired I can't understand it, just had a fortnight's sleep, I'm feeling so shot I'm so distracted, ain't touched a thing all week, I'm feeling drunk juiced up and sloppy    "    Well WHAT a day we had yesterday. Made plans to do our 'Christmas' thing on Thursday. Made plans to get my nephew up here from out on the peninsula, plans to get the girls AND boys to be here. Things started rolling along, in the MIDDLE of a BIG wind storm. Well the condo lost power in the late morning, AND my mom was IN the elevator when power went out. WOW!! Was able to keep her calm and get emergency people here to get her out. As it turned out she was about a FOOT from being on the top floor where she was headed anyway!! So then daughter and nephew showed up, had to drop the keys down to them so they could get in the building. I was NOT going back sown the stairs, I'd already been sown and back up dealing with mom in the elevator!! Power was out to a BIG section of town, roads were blocked with trees and power lines, WOW!! But power came back on about four and a half hours later. Then the other daughter and boys showed up. We had a good laugh about G'ma in the elevator, and then had a WONDERFUL meal. WAY TOO much to eat, but good times. Handed out some presents and plenty to drink. Another great time with the kids!!!!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! are all the stockings hung with care

    "    The suns sinks behind the clouds, and hides his tears without a sound, the moon looks on reflectively, so spare a thought for you and me, where are you now, dark are the clouds    "    Well been a steady couple of days. Still got LOTS of back pain. Have been using that Icey Hot 'tens' thing and it seems to be helping. The pain seems to have shifted from the middle of the back to the right hip area. AND, the left thigh leg area is starting to act up again. ???? Wha' ever!! Ran out yesterday and did a couple of more errands. I'll keep trying to treat the back/hip/leg pain thing and see how it progresses. Still selling an item or so a week on eBay. So funny. Got things rolling along good for a Christmas gathering later this week. Seems like we got some GREAT arrangements lined up. Waiting for the curtain rods to show up, then have to figure out how to hang them.  CHOW MOI!!!!

HEY ALL!! bad back pain plenty of shopping

    "    We on our present life, knew that the stars were right, that if you are the first to go, you'll leave a sign to let me know, you crossed the sea of night, free from the spell of fright    "    Well plenty going on this week. My back has been in a TON of pain. Nothing seems to cut it down much. Canadian Tylenol, Arthritis strength Tylenol, pain patches, what ever. I get some temporary relief, but the pain soon returns. I thought it was getting a little better the other day, but yesterday was FULL on!! In the meantime we have been looking on the inter-web for thermal curtains for the BIG sliding glass door. Well with LOTS of help from my eldest, SHE found some and had them shipped. They are VERY nice, now find a curtain rod is next. I think I found one with a finial that matches our table lamps. It is on it's way. Then we turned to the bedrooms, again with a BIG assist from daughter, I think I've found some that will do the trick. Now just got to get those on the way and then find curtain rods AGAIN!?!? In the mean while I got the Rouge in for servicing, and found out we need a front brake job, about $750!! The fun just NEVER stops! We will have to look into that after the New Year. Got plans for Xmas resolved and should be fun.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! lights up decorations shinning

    "    I bought a brand new airmobile, it was custom made, it was a Flight DeVille with an outside motor, and some hideaway wings, push in on the button and you can hear her sing    "    Well the daughters came down this weekend and got some Xmas lights up for G'ma. Also, put out some decorations. We have cut WAY back on the decorations and lights. Probably a good thing. Also, got the Ranger covered up for the winter and got the battery on a charger to keep it fully charged over the winter. Been selling a couple of SMALL things on eBay this week. Starting to get more lined up to get listed as well. We made close to final plans for the holiday. I think my nephew is coming up and then we will have some kind of 'gathering' here. Probably a 'dinner' and some present exchanges and what not. I think the presents will be mainly for my nephew, maybe a group thing or two as well. No BIG plans like in years past, and no BIG gift exchange either. We all feel like getting together and just hanging out and having a great time. Easy to do!! Got plenty on the plate this week as well should be busy.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! donuts, coffee and errands

    "    Please to meet you, hope you guess my name, ah what's puzzling you is the nature of my game, I watched with glee while your kings and queens fought for ten decades for the gods that they made    "    Well it was a busy HOA week. Had a big time water leak that required so wall board removal in the unit below. Got that handled, now just getting the walls patched back up will be probably another week. Got some stuff rolling for the owner's meeting in February. Just want to get things lined up and ready to go by then. Even ran several errands this week. Took the Ranger in for winterizing and then some other out and about things. Looks like I got a busy week going next week as well. In the mean while I'm dealing with a MAJOR back pain. Only when I stand up, it is so much pain it almost brings me to my knees. Just started on Wednesday, kind of in the middle of the day. Trying to figure out what will work to relieve the pain. Did hear from the referral doctor about my upper leg pain. He can't see me until JANUARY!?!? What ever. What good does it do with all the pain I am in now?? Also had a MAJOR issue with my current doctors office. I sent in to my pharmacy for a refill of one of my drugs. I was out of refills so they sent a request to my doctor. I get notice that they have approved the refill and returned it to the pharmacy. I make two calls to the pharmacy and they got NOTHING!! I call the doctors office. They sent the approval to ANOTHER pharmacy??!!??!! What the F*&^#%%$. How do you get a request from pharmacy "A" and then send the approval to pharmacy "B"?? HOW stupid can you be?? That is the final deal with them. Now they are playing around with my health. Time to find another doctor!! This is a drug that I have GOT to take. Stopping it cold turkey can cause seizures. DUMB!! DUMB!! DUMB!! DUMB!! Getting ready for a busy week coming up. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! Christmas lights and car maintenance

    "    Now all my friends is wearing worried smiles, living out a dream of what they was, don't you think it's sometimes wise not to grow up, went out walkin' through the wood the other day can't you see the furrows in my forehead    "    Well another eBay kinda week. Been spending a lot of time getting items scanned, and descriptions written up to get them loaded up for sale. Still figuring out how to list all the starter sets I have. I think I'll list them on Sportlots first, because they have a system that will tell me how many cards I have for any given year, and I can easily find which ones I have dups on. That way I'm not writing EVERY card number down when going through the pile. Plus that will also put them on the market 'just in case' someone might be looking for a particular card. Got the kitchen drain unplugged, with a little help from a neighbor. Which was a fair exchange, they were hauling all their Xmas stuff from storage to their unit (WAY TOO many trips). So I offered up my hand truck. SWEET!! The weather is turning colder, time to get both autos in for winterizing service, and get the truck tucked away for the winter. Hope to see both daughters this week, still making plans for my nephews visit and Christmas ideas.  CHOW MOI!!

    "    We don't care if you hound we and love is all around we, love can't get our minds off, you will never win we, your uniforms don't fit we, we forgot the place we're in, 'cause we love you    "    Well been a busy week all around. The Mariners are in the process of "retooling??" or "tearing it down", or "rebuilding" or what EVER you call it. They are shedding salary and trying to get younger prospects to restock their system. OK, but you STILL haven't been to a playoff in 17 years!!!! I don't care WHAT you do, just get us in the playoffs!! The Huskies won last night and are headed to the Rose Bowl!! They didn't look great, but got it done. Some disappointment has been erased. Been a busy week for eBay. I've been taking pictures and scanning stuff to get loaded in the next several days. I hope to have somewhere close to 500 items listed soon. I'm making a STRONG push to get things listed AND sold. Time to get things cleared out and move on.Even managed to get out and run several errands this week too. I'm still waiting to hear from my second referred doctor about my hip/leg/whatever. Things are moving well at the condo. Waiting to get the information back on the roof, and starting to get ideas and plans together for the upcoming owners meeting. Starting to see more and more Christmas decorations going up around the neighborhood too.  CHOW MOI!!
