HI ALL!! the roof the shot and other things

    "    I was a pitcher down in a slump, I was a fighter taken for a sucker punch, feeling bad I guess I lost my spring, I was the boxer who can't get in the ring    "    Well plenty happen' 'round the penthouse the past week. Went to Bellingham on Sunday and celebrated three birthdays!! Had a VERY nice lunch with all at one of those 'quaint' little restaurants that my daughters just seem to find up there. It was our turn to go North for a change, simple easy drive. Got plenty going on around the penthouse. Still in the middle of the new roof and talking to the owners about it. Got BUNCHES going on with eBay and the other baseball card web site. Been listing more stuff and it seems to be generating more looks and sales!! Finally got arrangements made for a epidural for my left leg pain. After the doc looked at the new MRI and what not, he decided that would be the way to go. So we'll see if it works, I sure hope so!! I'm tired of the pain and everything it causes.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! breaking in the new glove grooving my swing

    "    Why don't we sing this song all together, open our minds let the pictures come, and if we close all our eyes together, then we sill see where we all come from    "    Well had a good doctors visit yesterday. He does think the pain I am getting is from a pinched nerve in the back, around where one of my stenosis' are. SO setting up for some future treatment to see if he can help relieve the pain. Still got stuff going on with eBay and the other baseball card site. Sales have slowed a little, but got some more stuff to load. And what I got is the better stuff!! Couple of errands this week, and maybe another one later. Getting some HOA stuff lined up and trying to get this roof thing in check. Had to send the cuckoo clock back for some fine tuning, it was hanging up when the 'lady' spun around on the cuckoo and the pendulum rod was rubbing on the frame. He said it would be a quick fix.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! plenty of water great turn out

    "    Well maybe I'm talkin' to fast, but I won't be the first or the last, in the sea of the thousand you cast, c'mon please go home, I don't have to ask what you do, I just have to look to get you, means nothing to me to get through    "    Well had a GREAT turnout for the owner's meeting on Saturday. Coffee and doughnuts I'm sure helped. Got some very important things done and started. Then spend several hours going around the building inspecting 'new' water leaks. I think most of them were caused from all the snow that backed up over the past week or so. We will keep an eye on them and see if they develop more. A couple of them we will just let slide until we replace the roofs. Have sold several things off of eBay and the other web site in the last several days. Nothing to write home about, but still a sale is a sale!! The weather has started to warm up and things are feeling better. My leg is bothering me even more, thank goodness I've got an appointment to see the doc this week. I sure hope he can find a solution. We are getting more and more onto a plant based whole food diet. Only having meat about 3 times a week as we use up the stock pile we had in the freezer. Slowly figuring out new meals and what not. So far I am enjoying the different foods and meals we are making. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! more snow and more cold

    "    Yeah and I wish I'd been out in Stone Canyon when the lights on all the Christmas trees went out, but I've been burnin' my bell book and candle, and the restoration plays have all gone round, sometimes I think about ya baby, oh sometimes I cry about ya lord, yeah I'll wrap my coat around ya    "    Well YES, the snow just keeps a comin'!! I mean com' on!! It IS the Pacific Northwest after all. The cold weather has stayed around, been some brutal cold, doe to the mid teens at night. Doing all we can think of in the penthouse to keep it warm. The thermal curtains are helping a LOT!! Making sure we keep them closed during the day seems to help as well. Things on eBay have slowed, not sure why. I think it's just a slow down before spring training kicks in. Still trying to get my commons and minors listed on a web site. Doing well, and discovering some hidden treasures I had. Have found several sets that I can complete and list for sale! Plus some cards that will being more than a common price. Still waiting to see the doctor about my latest MRI. Been busy with HOA stuff, got an owners meeting coming up soon and have two units up for sale. So I get emails daily from someone dealing with the sale who needs information. But all in all doing OK. Sure am missing the chance to grill something!!  CHOW MOI!!

    "    Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name, but what's puzzling you, is the nature of my game    "    Well because of changes with Google + I had to re-sign in with the Blogger profile. So I took the opportunity and switched from "Big Dave from Allyn" to "PenthouseDave". That reflects my new living standard and puts a new twist on things. BUT, rest assured that you will STILL get the biting and mind twisting comments you have always gotten!!  Like the song lyrics above reference, it's NOT the name, but the GAME that will get you. For this week things have been hummin' right along. Another trip to the roof, more sales on eBay and some errands to get fooded up for the "BIG" game this afternoon. The food part is different. I have started towards 'plant based' meals. But am really in the middle of what I see as 'flexiterian'. I've got a freezer full of meats, and am NOT rich enough to just discard those and re-buy for the new meals. So I will increase the new foods and work the old ones out of the system. I may NEVER drop animal based food, but will certainly reduce them greatly. So far it's been fun discovering new foods and eating stuff I've ALWAYS liked for a long time.  CHOW MOI!!
