HI ALL!! grillin' and lookin' for baseball

    "    I wanna tell you something baby, that you don't know, I'm gonna tell your heart, better listen to me, 'cuz it's alright, yeah it's alright    "    Well another Fantasy Baseball Season has come to a close. In the 8 leagues I was in, I finished 1st, 2nd (3 times), 3rd (twice), 6th (twice). In the league I won, I actually tied with another team. AND, under the rules I got credit for 2nd place because my team name fell further down the alphabet than the other guys!??!?? That STINKS!! AND, I told them as such. I guess next year every league I join will have a team that starts with an " A "!! Still dealing with plenty of 'water' around the condo. In the process of repairing water leaks in two units and then going to start the french drains soon. FUN TIMES!! Had the youngest daughter come visit yesterday. Had an AWESOME prime rib roast and mashed potatoes!! Daddy still has the touch to grill prime rib!! Still managed to sell a baseball card the last several days as well. COOL! Got several errands coming this week too.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! steal my daddy's cue

    "    I'm tired of doing what I'm told, things are moving way to slow, I got no problems, child, it ain't me business, ain't my style    "    Well had a good visit to doctors yesterday. Got the shots I needed, and chatted about my problem hip. Doc's going to send me for more pictures and see what orthopedics can do. then we go from there. Nothing about surgery was discussed. Sold several more baseball cards this week, COOL!! Dealing with several things for the condo, making some progress, just seems to be moving slowly is all. The baseball season is winding down, and so is the fantasy leagues. Looks like at this point I'll be 2nd in several and 3rd in several. I think the worse I'll finish is 6th, but got a chance to move up to 5th in that league, if things go my way. It's been an odd year for trying to get WINS, several factors in play and I'm running less than 50% wins to starts. Which is down from about 55% to 60% the past several years. Overall it's been another fun year. And already looking forward to next year.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! can't find 'em grind 'em

    "    Hear the motor running, yeah she's right in sink, tell me if she's thirsty, would she like a drink, and I'm stopping at this bar    "    Well been still taking care of things around the condo. Finally (I think) got the drain unplugged in the '06 stack. WOW, what a chore, plumber was here for about 5 hours that day. Still selling a few baseball cards. Winding down to the end of fantasy baseball season. I've got some stuff going in a couple of the leagues. Still have a chance to finish first in two or three of them, and might be in the upper division in all eight!?!? Seem to be plenty busy with other H.O.A. stuff and still running plenty of errands. Weather has started to cool off and I found an Infrared portable heater that I think will help with electric bills and heating the condo this winter. We shall see.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the eagle is soaring

    "    Weren't you at the Coke convention, back in nineteen sixty-five, you're the misbred grey executive I've seen heavily advertised, you're the great grey man whose daughter licks policemen's buttons    "    Well my nephew got his Eagle Scout award over the weekend. What a great ceremony. They really honor the accomplishment and acknowledge the effort it takes to achieve that pin. Long drive there and back, but 100% worth it!! Still dealing with water leaks in the condo building. This time it's the dreaded kitchen sink drain. Could be the 8th or 9th time that particular pipe has developed a whole in it and started leaking. We only got about 12 more to repair. Still managing to sell some baseball cards each week! COOL! The weather has begun to turn, and it's nice to get out of the TOO HOT zone and much more comfortable,even with the rain. Been out and about with a few errands and what not, seems like I keep busy every day. Which is good.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! take out food more errands

    "    It's funny how it seems, I'm here right now, around you there's now problem babe, baby how it turns I hear your voice, and there's now one there    "    Well been out and about a lot this week, and I think more errands to go. My outside.inside temperature station has finally stopped working. I can't keep it connected and keep it reporting correct information. Had it about 12 years or so. Time for a new one I guess. Funny how I've become use to looking at it for information on the weather. Still managing to sell a few cards and what not. Couple of things out in the mail this week. I like that, hope it just keeps rolling along. Still chasing down water problems at the condo building. I think we are getting a handle on it. Starting to figure some of it out. Should be starting the roof project VERY soon. Also want to redo the front balconies, they have failed from the work we did last year.Took care of another kitchen drain pipe repair this week. That is 7 or 8 of them in the last three years. Only got 14 more to go before they are all changed. It seems after 42 years the drain pipe is wearing out around the threads of the pipe, right above the kitchen cabinets of the unit below them. Plenty of dry wall repair and wetness!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! bear on the loose

    "    Well I can hear her singing, way on down the line, I wanna know do you love me, or am I wasting my time, when I hear you singing, I know you're not far behind    "    Well the local Police Department is saying there was a bear sighting, several times, less than a half mile from the penthouse. WOW!! That's CLOSE! Hopefully the bear will find a better place to hang out, DEEP in the woods! Well still moving along with the roof project, got the first payment mailed out yesterday, that feels good. Still chasing down the water leak. Got several ideas and just trying to work through them. As we investigate, we also find other 'things' that could be part of the issue, or NOT?!?! It is hard to find pipes etc after 41 years, Just not sure on some of it. But we'll keep looking and looking. Got some other stuff done around the condo this week as well. There is a STRONG possibility that our druggie is trying to return. We are on the alert! Card sales have slowed, maybe one or two a week now. But at least it's still doing something. I expect it to slow even more as football ramps up. Seems to every year. Still enjoying the food plan we are on, seems to provide enough variety.  CHOW MO!!

HI ALL!! early September and I should get to work

    "    You're screaming down the alley, and never coming back, get out of my bod, get out of the sack, don't give me no lip, don't give me no crap, get out of the madhouse, tear it all down    "    Well, well, well, it's September and the weather is still hot and not my kind of temps. Been a busy time around the condo. Been chasing down a water leak, maybe two, some ground water problems and getting ready for a new roof. Whilst the mean time some owners are not as happy with other owners as I'd like. Also got 'stuff' going on about oil stains in the parking lot, and on the carpets. ALL of them caused by RENTERS!! I'm just taking care of the issues one at a time, solving them and moving on. Actually staying very 'centered' about it all. Still selling some baseball cards, but it has slowed down some. Got more to load on the 'other' site when I can. Trip to the dentist and other errands have been ran. There is a GOOD chance that our druggie is trying to return and set up shop again. BUT, I think we have a jump on him and can nip it quickly. At least that's what we're going to try and do. Still doing the food plan thing, and it seems to be working out OK. Still at times searching for the right foods to fit in. But happy at this point. Even had the grill fired up several times!! CHOW MOI!!
