HI ALL!! tumblin' down

     "    'Cause all you women is low down gamblers, cheatin' like I don't know how, but baby, there's fever in the funk house now, this low down bitchin' got my poor feet a itchin', don't you know the deuce is still wild    "    Well been a busy first of part of December. Baseball cards have increased in selling, a little! Got the condo PAINTED!! Looks Sooooo good! Have been rearranging some stuff, worked on the pantry/laundry room the other day. Things were going great, until. There was a little accident, I went to sit on a stool, that had been moved, and BOOM to the floor I went. Was able to get up and make it to the chair. Then according to my daughter who was helping I passed out. She called 911 and they gave me a clear signal on all my vitals. But MAN I'm in some PAIN!! Lower back right along the belt line. The new hip did well. I actually used that side to get up off the floor. SO The daughters finished the rearranging. And I stayed seated in my chair. Felt better the next day, still some tightness and pain in the lower back, but feels like it is improving. Just moving slow and taking it easy. Got things to do, but got to get healed up first. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the painting goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on

     "    I wanna see it painted, painted black, black as night, black as coal, I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky, I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted    "    YES, the painting is on going. The painters seem to be making great progress. So far very happy with everything. I still can't decide if I want to go back to wooden bi-fold doors, in the bedrooms, front closet and bathroom. I keep thinking it would add such a warm tone to the rooms. Plus this is a great chance to plug all the holes left behind from who knows how many residents over the years. Other things are going good. Mom is doing better some days, and about the same on others. My hip is AMAZING and doing so very well. The major water leak damage is coming along for the H.O.A. as well. Not selling many cards, a few, but it does usually slow down this time of year. And I'm getting HAMMERED in the fantasy football league as usual. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! lots going on in and out

     "    too lazy to crow for day, keep everything in the farm yard upset in every way, the dogs begin to bark, and hounds begin to howl, watch out strange cat people, little red rooster's on the prowl    "    Well a bunch going on, both inside the penthouse and outside in the condo. Trying to get some work wrapped up before the holiday's. Some of the stuff we've been working on most of the year. Just seems like everyone is backed up and can't get the proper supplies. Still ruminants of the covid and supply shortages. But, we are working through it nicely. Not selling as many baseball cards right now, which is in keeping with years past. Some stuff is selling still. Hip is doing GREAT!! Seems to be a little better each day. Love, love the new curtains!! One of the best decisions we've made. Rest of the family seems very busy as well. Not quite sure where Thanksgiving is going to be this year. I have my preference, but we'll see. Hope the correct choice is made. But, for sure, will get family together!!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! cold weather's a comin'

     "    go ahead and light up the town, and baby do everything your heart desires, remember I'll always be around. I know, like I told you so many times before, you're gonna come back    "    Well just hummin' 'n strummin' around the big city. Seems like we are out almost everyday for doctors appointments or something. Got my 6 month follow up for my hip. Doctor was THRILLED with the progress!! Been taking mom to LOTS of doctors, I think there is some improvement. Still working on getting some minor things done around the penthouse. Got all the paint we want, have curtains ordered, have new wall heaters ordered, have found someone to paint the place, and found someone to help with flooring. Still selling cards, and it goes in spurts. Even after the season and the playoffs are over, still doing some selling. Got more 'stuff' loaded for sale as well. The new closet organizer is PERFECT!! And the new metro shelving is PERFECT for the cards. Seems like I have so much more room now. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! head in the sand OR face it head on

     "    Ooh see the fire is sweepin', our very street today, burns like a red coal carpet, mad bull lost its way    "    Well it has been WAY TOO LONG since I last posted. I apologize for that, but it just seemed like I was talking care of things and just didn't have the urge to post about it. I started this blog to post and let out some of my feelings and thoughts as I transitioned from everyday working stiff, to not working and dealing with my condition. Well I got through all that and tackled more things successfully. I have posted but just not very often. Business at the H.O.A. is still, well busy! But the Board and I are getting through them one item at a time and moving on. While the whole time taking care of the owners wants and wishes. While keeping this aging building as safe as we can. It has been a rocky raid on a personal side this year. The hip surgery was a TOTAL SUCCESS!! My ortho is STILL VERY pleased with my progress! I am too!! Other medical things have gone smoothly. Mom is facing some challenges, and working through them. She is still getting stronger since her gallbladder surgery. My sister has completely alienated herself from mom and me. We get NO news about her help challenges and what not, and that really bothers mom. Mom has reached out several times trying to re-establish some kind of communication, with NO success. Mom still chats with her grandson, but that's about as far as it goes. There are times he doesn't even know what's going on with his own mom. Sad, sad, sad. I have gotten my brothers' estate buttoned up. Waiting to see if we get another check or two, and settling up with a couple of remaining creditors. Mom and I have started working on the remolding ideas that we want for the penthouse. In the meantime other units are selling in the building and my R. E. Agent tells me she could get DOUBLE our buying price for the place. But we love it here and are staying put!! So just moving along, I did win 4 of the 8 fantasy baseball leagues I was in this year!! COOL!! So in my case it's heads up, and facing the challenges that come. CHOW MOI!!!!

HEY ALL!! a truly challenging month

     "Though the lies might be true, that's cause the joke's about you, you're the first to get blamed, always the last bitch to get paid    "    Well it was certainly a challenging month. Lots going on, H.O.A. stuff up the wazzu!! Moving stuff around to get some painting done, selling some cards, if I could find them?? And on and on it went. But did get things accomplished and now getting ready for bigger things. Ever worked on a forever home?? It's VERY interesting. Sold some more cards, and doing quite well in the final month of fantasy baseball. The hip is doing VERY well, and feeling pretty good all over. Still dodgin' that covid thing! R.I.P. Charlie Watts  CHOW MOI!!!!

HI ALL!! more of the different stuff

     "    The band's on stage and it's one of those nights, the drummer thinks that he is dynamite, you lovely ladies in your leather and lace, a thousand lips I would love to taste    "    Well been a long week, found some stucco damage from a wind storm that tore off part of the roof, over four years ago. Had to remove the damaged stucco before it fell on someone. Now got it patched up and weatherized till a stucco company can get out here and fix it. They say sometime in the spring?!?!?! Working on the next bank of balconies as well. So H.O.A. stuff has been plenty busy!! Still selling some cards as well. Had a little lull but it's picking up again. Doing very well on the new hip!! Started painting closet areas getting ready for a big paint job. Got colors picked out. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! figuring out a way to get there

     "    I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie, I have my freedom but I don't have much time, faith has been broken tears must be cried, let's do some living after love dies    "    Well it's been am interesting adventure this past month or so. Just about to wrap up stuff with my brother's estate, had a birthday, started painting the penthouse. Been some struggles as well. Still selling some baseball cards. Been doing a lot of grilling on the new grill, really starting to like it. The weather has been a struggle, been very hot too many days. Did get a small portable AC unit and that seems to help a bunch. Things around the H.O.A. are good, been busy with several projects there as well. Have got to spend some time with the daughters, mom is, well mom, and getting along ok. Seem to stay busy everyday, which I like. the new hip has been VERY wonderful!!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! got a birthday comin'

     "    It is the evening on the day, I sit and watch the children play, smiling faces I can see, I sit and watch, my riches can't buy everything, I want to hear the children sing    "    Well been an interesting month, got the ball rolling for painting the penthouse, and have been talking about new flooring sometime this winter. Got a few things I want to change to make this more of 'our home'. Better baseball card storage, better more soothing wall colors, better heating, etc. It will take time and money, but a little here and there will get it done. Should start with painting, also need a better storage system in my clothes closet. No painter are available till later this winter, so that works. Still selling cards and the hip is improving nicely!! Kids are doing well, the youngest is looking to buy a place (finally). CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! WNW of France and a bike crash

     "    I was dreaming of a steel guitar engagement, when you drunk my health is scented jasmine tea    "    Well YES, the Infamous Bike race around France has begun!! That will take up my early mornings now for about three weeks, I flip the TV between the race and the business channel! COOL!! Got fantasy baseball going. I doing OK, my traditional 8th or 9th in the one league. Got 1st in a couple. 2nd in a couple and doing OK in the rest. Total of EIGHT this year. Still selling a few baseball cards. Been checking out getting one of my closets customized, all my clothes etc. Then doing some Metro Shelving in the other to make it easier to shuffle 5000 count boxes of baseball cards around. Still taking care of Estate stuff, and the Condo business has gotten busier the last couple of weeks. Dealing with some INCREDIBLY HOT weather for several days. I got a portable AC unit, it seems to help. But we don't do over 100 in Northwest Washington state!! Mom is bouncing back good from her surgery, at least on some days. I'm doing well and feeling even better. Took a break from PT. Probably will start up again in July. Got a brand new grill that I simply LOVE!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! better hip more cards

     "    I don't want you to be high, I don't want you to be down, don't want to tell you no lie, just want you to be around, please come right up to my ears, you will be able to hear what I say, don't want you out in my world    "    Well still making some good progress on my hip strengthening. Started PT last week, we'll see how that goes. The hip feels SOOOOO much better!! Trying to get some flexibility  back as well. Still selling cards. Got stuff moving from both sites! Nothing over shadowing, but still moving cards out! I think I have my brother's estate squared away. One or two loose ends still to clean up, but all the big stuff is done. We are just letting everything set for now to make sure it all comes out in the wash. Mom is doing well. Starting to feel and sound more like herself each day. Getting out for walks and sitting on the back of the car again. Got the grill cleaned up and have done some grilling the last several days. HOA stuff is coming along, couple of projects we are looking at, and some ground improvements as well. CHOW MOI!!!!

HEY ALL!! a little every day

     "    Yeah we could land in New York City, with whiskey an' mighty fine, now I bought downers and a bouquet, and a bottle of dry white wine, yes you got me dizzy, yes you got me silly    "    Well getting along good. Seem to be getting a little more flex and mobile each day. Have been feeling really good. Mom is recovering nicely. Hope she comes home by next week. Been in deep to fantasy baseball now, doing ok. Couple of teams are struggling, but the season is still young. Have sold a few cards, but that has slowed down. Getting through the brothers stuff. I think I'm about there. Just got to finish up a few odds and ends. It's getting to be grilling weather, SOON! Better get the grill ready. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! still progressing

     "    Everybody on the dance floor, you know what I'm talking about, music make you forget all your trouble, make you sing, and make you tell the whole wide world, so what    "    Well getting along ok after almost 4 weeks. Should be back to just using a cane soon. Really not having much pain, still plenty of stiffness and reduced mobility. But that seems to be improving at times. All the doctors are happy with the results to date. Back to selling a few baseball cards again, feels GOOD!! And have started the fantasy baseball league. I'm off to a rough start, but it's a long season. My daughters were VERY helpful in the recovery, THANK YOU!! Still got a ways to go, but I'm good with that. The weather has been improving, I feel like it's getting close to grillin' time! CHOW MOI!! 

HEY ALL!! a week later is the new one working out?? in??

     "    What you don't know, don't be afraid, just listen to me and do what I say, don't move your head, don't move your hands, don't move your lips, just shake your hips     "    Well a week on now for the hip replacement surgery. Had to go in yesterday and have the doc take a look at my dressings, they were 'oozing'. He was VERY pleased with his handy work. Said the oozing was from my skin reaction to the adhesive on the type of dressing they used. He said the incision was doing GREAT!! Chatted a bit more, put on a different dressing and sent me home. The whole process has bee good. Not as much pain as I was thinking, and a WHOLE lot LESS than the old hip. Now just got to continue to strengthen and gain flexibility in the repaired leg. The whole thing still has me a little dazed, but trying to do what I need everyday to improve and get better. My daughters have really stepped up and are doing a great job of caring for me and their Gma!!  CHOW MOI!!! 

HI ALL!! fantasy has started, duck and cover

     "    Always took candy from strangers, didn't wanna get me no trade, never want to be like papa, working for the boss ev'ry night and day    "    Well YES, fantasy baseball has started!! I'm in two leagues already, probably will join six more before the start of the baseball season. Fun times, I just hope the season goes the full 162 this year. Still selling some baseball cards off of both sites! Just a steady flow of cards, that's what it's going to take to get them ALL sold. Still working on my brother's estate, and getting through all that. The hip is, well, still the hip! Sore and more sore. Got our first covid vaccine. Lovin' the indoor electric grill I got a few months ago. I does a GREAT job on all the meats we eat. Got a new replacement electric fireplace the old one had some kind of electrical issue with an over heat switch. New one is installed and working great so far. Got through the big snow and now just dealing with the rain. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! here come da snow

     "    I wish I been out in California, when the lights on all the Christmas trees went out, but I've been burnin' my bell, book, and candle, and the restoration plays have all gone 'round    "    Well or so the 'experts' say, the snow is on the way. Some sources are reporting it will start snowing later in the morning and continue DEEP into the night. We'll see. Really got no plans, do need to get out and do a BIG grocery shop, and got the replacement electric fireplace that needs to be installed. Would be nice to have that as the cold weather lingers on. Still selling some baseball stuff, but it's slow down, which can be expected. I think it may pick up as spring training kicks into full gear later this month. Not much else, my hip continues to be an ache, and I just go along day at a time. Still trying to get a covid vaccine shot, there is a long waiting list. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! get the hip fixed

     "    You move it to the left and you go for yourself, you move it to the right, yeah if it takes all night, now take it kinda slow with a whole lot of soul, don't move it too fast, just make it last    "    Finally got an appointment for my hip replacement surgery. And of course it's tentative depending on the status of the pandemic. Lots of other doc visits related to it as well. Still selling some baseball cards. Working through all the 'stuff' for my brother's estate. It will be a long trip I'm sure. But well worth it!! Have seen the daughters a few times, always good when that happens. Not much else going on , still lovin' my new indoor grilling machine. Winter has been OK this year, lots of rain, and some cold here and there. Got things going around the condo, but all is good for now, couple of new owners as well. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! rain and other things

     "    I laid a divorcee in New York City, I had to put up some kind of a fight, the lady then she covered me with roses, she blew my nose and then she blew my mind    "    Well plenty of rain this week. The temperature has stayed fairly warmer so that's good. The new electric fireplace started flashing error codes. Did all the fixes the manual suggested, nothing worked. Call customer service, they sent out a new blower assembly. My youngest and her guy came over and installed it. Same problem!! So now they are sending me a new unit to replace the defective one. So now the youngest will have to come back and install the new unit. Sure could use the extra heat, but was impressed with the customer service I received. Still selling a few baseball cards here and there. Taking care of several condo issues, nothing major, but they still take sometime. Waiting for my vaccine shot, I'm on a waiting list along with 18,000 others! My hip surgery has been put off for at least another month. They are not doing any non-emergency surgeries. Other than that things hummin' right along! I got an indoor griller. It has been marvelous. Very happy with how it cooks, so glad to be grillin' some things again. CHOW MOI!!
