HEY ALL!! clean up your dog's POOP

    "    I was sick and tired, fed up with this and decided to take a drive downtown, it was so very quiet and peaceful, there was nobody not a soul around, I laid myself out, I was so tired and started to dream, in the morning the parking tickets were just like a flag stuck on my window screen    "    Well that's kinda how I feel. Got an owner in the building who has a dog and is letting it SHIT on the front  sidewalk in front of the mailboxes!! This is about the third or forth time. IF it's not their dog, than it's a visitor who is bringing their dog around and it's pooping on the sidewalk. How low class!! Have an issue with a buyer on eBay, he's making a 100% false claim about an item he bought from me. Making up lies to get his money back. And I'm having a hard time even trying to defend myself. The eBay customer service place tells me I'll get the chance, but it keeps looking worse and worse each day. I've got to let him return the item before I can complain. THAT is total "BULLSHIT". I've got rights as a seller as well. The real bad part is all they would have to do is read the item description and look at the pictures, then read his complaint and you can see he is lying!! I will push this as far, and probably too far, as I can. Trying to get Christmas with the family done today, I'm real edgy about that as well.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! giddy up Christmas time

    "    It sure been a hard hard winter, my feet been draggin' 'cross the ground, and I hope it's gonna be a long hot summer, and a lotta love will be burnin' bright, and I wish I been out in California, when the lights on all the Christmas trees went out    "    Well another FULL week or so. More errands out and about. I think we finally have solid plans for Christmas with the family. Looks like it will be a 'pizza party'!! Been staying WAY TOO busy around the condo, had several leaks in the new roof as it's being installed, too much noise, lost keys, on and on  and on. But as I have been known to do, I plug my way through the issues and get them resolved. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes not so much. Did get some positive and long reaching things done. The window amendment passed and I think it will save the association an untold amount of money down the road. And, I feel, it's a good thing for the whole association, but could (?) be a challenge for SOME individual owners. Got new parts ordered for my bar-b-que grill, now just need to install them.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! lucky the 13th slow delivery

    "    The fields of Eden are full of trash, and we beg and we borrow and we steal, we'll never get it back people are hungry, they crown around and the city gets bigger as the country comes begging to town    "    Well another busy several days, out running errands, doctor appointments, etc. Did have a chance to get up and see the daughters for awhile. Picked up our Christmas door wreath and went to lunch with one of them. Still working on plans for the Christmas visit, I think we are very close. Sold a couple of things over the inter-web, and ran into a couple of 'confused' buyers. Oh well, I'll deal with it. The condo roof project is moving along, one 'bump', but we're over that and keep going. Putting up some Christmas decorations in the condo this year. Feels good, staying on the 'lite' side, but still some festivity. A couple of little minor no-no's around the condo, kind of like those one day things, and then move along.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! shop till you drop and it's just a click away

    "    Won't you come on and call my name, can't you see I'm an only one, whoa when you call me name, yeah I'm the lonely one, yeah when you come along, we go for a drive     "    Well it's continues to be some busy times. Made a quick trip to ER for a gastro thing, turned out to be nothing, some kind of 'bug'. Gone that day and feeling great ever since. Still spending WAY too much time on the roof. Things are moving along, but seems I'm up there almost everyday for something. The last two days have been because of some water leaks. Small simple things, and the work goes on. Have been out and about running several errands and what not as well. Still managing to sell some cards off of the two web sites. Always fun to pack and send baseball cards!! Putting plans together for Christmas. As always there are several moving parts. But I think we are making progress. We had a "taco" Thanksgiving theme and we thing Christmas will be "pizza"!! We did decide on no gifts, just are presence and dinner together is what we want.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! .. HAPPY THANKSGIVING

    "    I'm the man on the mountain come on up, I'm the plowman in the valley with a face full of mud, yes I'm fumbling and I know my car don't start, yes I'm stumbling and I play a bad guitar    "    Well Happy Turkey day y'all!! It's been a weird week, started out with someone trying to buy $1500.00 worth of HerbalLife Products on one of my credit cards in California at 01:30 AM one day, and ended with me going to the hospital with a gastro problem. ALL ended well, the credit card was denied and then changed out and I 'locked' all me other ones, and the gastro problem went away after I threw up in the hospital. The doctors decided it was some kind a a 'bug' and I should be back to normal in a day or so. AND, I AM!! Had a GREAT Thanksgiving with the daughters and their boys. Had Taco night, plenty to eat, drink and a very 'TASTY' spiked dessert afterwards!! Hope you and your shave a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!! ENJOY!!   CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! progress slow and steady??

    "    Everybody's dreaming, everybody's scheming, until the rain fall down, she cooked me up some eggs, then she made some tea, I turned on her TV, it was all the usual crap, all the usual sleaze, for ten thousand quid some bimbo spilled all the beans, yeah    "    Well work continues on the roof. It looks like they are making progress. We have gotten a break in the weather and might have some sunny days ahead. We will need plenty if this roof is to get completely finished by the end of the year. I think our chances are slim, but everyday helps out a lot!! Several other things going on around the condo too. I've got one particular owner who seems to be promoting his and ONLY his agenda. There is lots of talk about the windows in each unit and the common area ones. The board has come up with an idea, that will pass the cost onto the individual owners IF/WHEN they decide to replace their windows. The way it is now, the association covers the cost. We have worked through a lot of issues and so far everything keeps pointing towards a good move for the group. Still several more things to clear up, but I'm liking it so far. Got plans together for Thanksgiving, should be a GREAT time!! Several errands and what not to run this week and next, seems like busy times. But enjoying it, the hip is cooperating.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! adjustment time ahead

    "    Go ahead and light up the town, and baby do everything your heart desires, remember I'll always be around, and I know, like I told you so many times before, you're gonna come back baby, 'cause I know, you're gonna come back knocking right on my door    "    When I first started this blog I had just gone through some sudden changes. I was trying to figure out how to deal with not working 50+ hours every week, not having to always answer to the "man", not being required to act or conduct myself, I was searching for something that needed to fill in for all those hours, and of course dealing with a medical 'thing' that was sudden and very, very different to anything I had experienced. The fact that it took so long to figure out what it was I had, and then sooo long to get the monetary relief I needed. And then the fact I had to sell off my life long love of baseball card collecting efforts. And one avenue that I stumbled upon, and got encouragement to investigate from my daughters, was a blog. At first it was EVERY day, I had something to say and wanted EVERYONE to hear it, then it was every two days, then twice a week, then once a week, then when ever. I still have lots to say and feel I still have lots to teach people that I revolve with. I just have not had the 'urge' to post more than several times a month. SO from today forward, I will continue to post, just when ever the urge or need hits me. It will be very sporadic without any rhyme or reason, but I'll be posting. To all of those that I lost when the change was made away from Google+. I'm sorry, although you never made comments, I could see you were reading, and that's all I ever wanted. To those who have continued to read after the shift, thank you!! I must say it was never about the size of the audience, it was a way to get my thoughts and feelings and knowledge out there and to write it and listen to what I was saying for myself.  CHOW MOI!!!!

HI ALL!! this time of year

    "    I don't want you to be high, I don't want you to be down, don't want to tell you no lie, just want you to be around, please come right up to my ears, you will be able to hear what I say    "     Well just working my way through Condo stuff. Making good progress on things. The  weather has been cooler and got our first power bill with the new space heaters. I think we are doing well. Went up $18 over last month, but that includes a rate hike that was $4 of that increase. This billing cycle was 1 day longer and three degrees per day cooler than last year. Mom seems to be staying warm so we'll see how this works through the winter months. Still managing to sell a baseball card or two every week. Have not listed anything new for about a week or so. Making GREAT headway on getting all my extra cards listed and organized and condensed into fewer boxes. Had the truck our and about this week, it was hard to start, it's getting to be that time to take out the battery and put the car cover on it for the winter. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! time change?? done with it

    "    Star crossed pleasure the stream flows on by, as we're sated in leisure we watch it fly, drink in your summer, gather your corn, the dreams of the night time will vanish by dawn    "    Well another 'time change' thing has happened. I just can't grasp the reason for the changing. It really doesn't seem to make much difference to me. It does take me a week or so to get in the 'flow' of the new times. After that I really don't see or feel a difference. I think if we left the clock alone and stopped changing it around, that we would all just adapt to it and wouldn't see of feel any difference as well. Just my thoughts. It does provide a good reminder to check batteries and what not. Well the colder weather continues, been getting into the mid 30's at night. And not getting above low 50's during the days. Plenty of sunlight however. The rain has been holding off, just hope that continues when the roof project starts. Ran some errands this week and got my  semi-annual haircut. Got some stuff to finish up this week. Need to get a budget set up for the condo's and some other 'housekeeping' things. Did manage to get out and grill a pork steak yesterday, DELICIOUS!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! GAME 6 let's win it all

    "    Well hey, hey, when I first came to town, people, I was walking down Hastings Street, I heard everybody talking about, Henry's Swing Club, I dropped in there that night, I did the boogie    "    Well my portable heaters seem to be doing the trick. I've got four of them, one in each bedroom and one in the living room and one in the dinning room. They seem to be keeping the condo warm enough. Of course the real test will be when the electric bill shows up. Then we'll know how well they are working. I will say that probably 75% or more of the owners have a portable heater in the building. Well it's Game 6 tonight of the World Series. Your team is up 3 games to 2, do you want them to win tonight and end the series and therefore the season, OR do you want a game 7?? Tough situation for a true baseball fan!!Got a visit yesterday from my youngest daughter. She came down and took G'ma to get her nails done, and then brought back lunch/dinner. Did have a great tine chatting with her. She also brought her two awards that she won for her outdoor and coaching prowess!! VERY COOL!! Got a few errands this week, and spending plenty of time working on the H.O.A. budget for 2020, fun times. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! who do you trust who do you kick out

    "    I heard you're in the south of Spain, never coming back again, don't be a stranger, just knock on my door, well the key is hanging on the chain, are you still drinking the same champagne, while I been waiting on the fifteenth floor    "    Well just some random thoughts and stuff that's been going on. I've started conversations with my daughters about my possible hip surgery. They have questions and concerns, I have questions and concerns. It's good the conversation has started. Taking care of things around the condo, at times there seems to be a lot, but when you get through it one item at a time, it's not so bad. The old cliche, how do you eat an elephant, one bite at a time. I get plenty of input from some owners on some stuff. Then at times I get no input at all on others. Of course when I get input the owner wants to make sure I do it THEIR way!! Regardless of what might be the better way for the majority of the owners. I am under THREE SPINS for the first time in what could be 20 to 25 years. The family around me is impressed, I'm impressed. But also realize that is not the ending point. It's s case of how low can you go!!   CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! ready for the WORLD SERIES

    "    My clothes are fine. still fresh and clean, her sweet perfume in our old room, with that face that I've seen, maybe thinks the same as me, well nothing that we're learning    "    Been not so busy with condo stuff the past week or so. Had more chances to get more baseball cards listed on the other site. Have still made a few sales, but still slowing down. As I list more cards I'm able to consolidate and rearrange the cards. I'm starting to safe some space and may need to look at some room rearranging as well. I think it's all good!! Ready for the World Series to start, now we know who the participants will be. Gotta be rooting for the Astros, because they are the American League, and the ore in the West Division. Had plenty of rain, with more coming. Got a few things going on this week and will have some errands to run. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! plant based EVERYTHING

    "    I warned you baby from time to time, you don't listen so pay me no mind, about movin' on, mister engineer with throttle in hand, take me back to that Southern land    "    Well I had a Beyond Beef Burger for the second time, and I've had one of those LightLife Burgers as well. They are the plant based burgers that are suppose to taste like regular beef. And they do a VERY good job at that. They are a little odd to cook, they even had some red in them, from beet juice I think. They are tasty and hold up well. It seems they have a lot of fat, at least for my food plan. But they're good and I'll probably have more down the road. Been shifting towards soups and what not for dinner, now that the weather has turned cooler. Not selling as many baseball cards, still probably one a week or so. My hip seems to be responding well to the shot I got. Been trying to be out and about more and trying to get in as many steps as I can. It seems my legs get tired, from the stenosis, before they really start to hurt. About done with this cold, a few sniffles and coughs left but that's about it. Still waiting on the roof project for the condo to start, did get the French Drains in.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! here comes the chill

    "    Oh I get a girl with a record machine, when it comes to rockin' she's the queen, we go to dance on Saturday night, I'm all alone and I hold her tight, but she live on the twentieth floor in town, the elevator's broke down    "    Well just getting over a cold I think, felling better the past two days, first 'real' cold I think I've had in several years now. Things have slowed up on the baseball card selling front. Have sold a couple of cards, but it is MUCH slower than last month. Which is the norm for this time of year. Getting some things done on the H.O.A. front. Got my hip shot, and it does feel better, we'll see how long it lasts. Got all four space heaters in place and functioning. SO far after two COLD mornings things seem to be going well. Still dropping a few 'lbs' along the way. Seems like the new food plan is doing what I wanted. Nothing else really going on, trying to adjust to no more 'retirement pay' and just watching where and for what the money goes out for. Have slowed down on the Amazon purchases as well. Did get some VERY nice new shoes, which I needed. The last time I bought new shoes was back in 2010!! Playing a little fantasy football and just getting slaughtered! OH well, what's new there??  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the hip and the cold

    "    Did it mean nothing, was it all in vain, was I just your fool, or was the pleasure pain, have you set me free, or will I wake up in the morning and find out it's been a bad dream    "    Well been a busy week. Went and got my steroid shot for my hip. The doctor said this should help for awhile, but I WILL need hip surgery at some point, my arthritis is just very bad in that hip. I been fighting a cold, I think, and it has gotten worse the past couple days. I feel a tic better today, but we'll see. Got some more meds yesterday at the store and drank hot tea with honey and lime juice yesterday. Mostly it's a VERY sore throat and a little run down feeling with at times I thin a fever. Got lots of sleep last night, maybe that's the start to recovery. Been, of course, busy with condo stuff. And got more stuff coming. Fantasy baseball is over and now just enjoying the playoffs. Been living on soup the past several days, it's good I like it, so what.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! grillin' and lookin' for baseball

    "    I wanna tell you something baby, that you don't know, I'm gonna tell your heart, better listen to me, 'cuz it's alright, yeah it's alright    "    Well another Fantasy Baseball Season has come to a close. In the 8 leagues I was in, I finished 1st, 2nd (3 times), 3rd (twice), 6th (twice). In the league I won, I actually tied with another team. AND, under the rules I got credit for 2nd place because my team name fell further down the alphabet than the other guys!??!?? That STINKS!! AND, I told them as such. I guess next year every league I join will have a team that starts with an " A "!! Still dealing with plenty of 'water' around the condo. In the process of repairing water leaks in two units and then going to start the french drains soon. FUN TIMES!! Had the youngest daughter come visit yesterday. Had an AWESOME prime rib roast and mashed potatoes!! Daddy still has the touch to grill prime rib!! Still managed to sell a baseball card the last several days as well. COOL! Got several errands coming this week too.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! steal my daddy's cue

    "    I'm tired of doing what I'm told, things are moving way to slow, I got no problems, child, it ain't me business, ain't my style    "    Well had a good visit to doctors yesterday. Got the shots I needed, and chatted about my problem hip. Doc's going to send me for more pictures and see what orthopedics can do. then we go from there. Nothing about surgery was discussed. Sold several more baseball cards this week, COOL!! Dealing with several things for the condo, making some progress, just seems to be moving slowly is all. The baseball season is winding down, and so is the fantasy leagues. Looks like at this point I'll be 2nd in several and 3rd in several. I think the worse I'll finish is 6th, but got a chance to move up to 5th in that league, if things go my way. It's been an odd year for trying to get WINS, several factors in play and I'm running less than 50% wins to starts. Which is down from about 55% to 60% the past several years. Overall it's been another fun year. And already looking forward to next year.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! can't find 'em grind 'em

    "    Hear the motor running, yeah she's right in sink, tell me if she's thirsty, would she like a drink, and I'm stopping at this bar    "    Well been still taking care of things around the condo. Finally (I think) got the drain unplugged in the '06 stack. WOW, what a chore, plumber was here for about 5 hours that day. Still selling a few baseball cards. Winding down to the end of fantasy baseball season. I've got some stuff going in a couple of the leagues. Still have a chance to finish first in two or three of them, and might be in the upper division in all eight!?!? Seem to be plenty busy with other H.O.A. stuff and still running plenty of errands. Weather has started to cool off and I found an Infrared portable heater that I think will help with electric bills and heating the condo this winter. We shall see.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the eagle is soaring

    "    Weren't you at the Coke convention, back in nineteen sixty-five, you're the misbred grey executive I've seen heavily advertised, you're the great grey man whose daughter licks policemen's buttons    "    Well my nephew got his Eagle Scout award over the weekend. What a great ceremony. They really honor the accomplishment and acknowledge the effort it takes to achieve that pin. Long drive there and back, but 100% worth it!! Still dealing with water leaks in the condo building. This time it's the dreaded kitchen sink drain. Could be the 8th or 9th time that particular pipe has developed a whole in it and started leaking. We only got about 12 more to repair. Still managing to sell some baseball cards each week! COOL! The weather has begun to turn, and it's nice to get out of the TOO HOT zone and much more comfortable,even with the rain. Been out and about with a few errands and what not, seems like I keep busy every day. Which is good.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! take out food more errands

    "    It's funny how it seems, I'm here right now, around you there's now problem babe, baby how it turns I hear your voice, and there's now one there    "    Well been out and about a lot this week, and I think more errands to go. My outside.inside temperature station has finally stopped working. I can't keep it connected and keep it reporting correct information. Had it about 12 years or so. Time for a new one I guess. Funny how I've become use to looking at it for information on the weather. Still managing to sell a few cards and what not. Couple of things out in the mail this week. I like that, hope it just keeps rolling along. Still chasing down water problems at the condo building. I think we are getting a handle on it. Starting to figure some of it out. Should be starting the roof project VERY soon. Also want to redo the front balconies, they have failed from the work we did last year.Took care of another kitchen drain pipe repair this week. That is 7 or 8 of them in the last three years. Only got 14 more to go before they are all changed. It seems after 42 years the drain pipe is wearing out around the threads of the pipe, right above the kitchen cabinets of the unit below them. Plenty of dry wall repair and wetness!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! bear on the loose

    "    Well I can hear her singing, way on down the line, I wanna know do you love me, or am I wasting my time, when I hear you singing, I know you're not far behind    "    Well the local Police Department is saying there was a bear sighting, several times, less than a half mile from the penthouse. WOW!! That's CLOSE! Hopefully the bear will find a better place to hang out, DEEP in the woods! Well still moving along with the roof project, got the first payment mailed out yesterday, that feels good. Still chasing down the water leak. Got several ideas and just trying to work through them. As we investigate, we also find other 'things' that could be part of the issue, or NOT?!?! It is hard to find pipes etc after 41 years, Just not sure on some of it. But we'll keep looking and looking. Got some other stuff done around the condo this week as well. There is a STRONG possibility that our druggie is trying to return. We are on the alert! Card sales have slowed, maybe one or two a week now. But at least it's still doing something. I expect it to slow even more as football ramps up. Seems to every year. Still enjoying the food plan we are on, seems to provide enough variety.  CHOW MO!!

HI ALL!! early September and I should get to work

    "    You're screaming down the alley, and never coming back, get out of my bod, get out of the sack, don't give me no lip, don't give me no crap, get out of the madhouse, tear it all down    "    Well, well, well, it's September and the weather is still hot and not my kind of temps. Been a busy time around the condo. Been chasing down a water leak, maybe two, some ground water problems and getting ready for a new roof. Whilst the mean time some owners are not as happy with other owners as I'd like. Also got 'stuff' going on about oil stains in the parking lot, and on the carpets. ALL of them caused by RENTERS!! I'm just taking care of the issues one at a time, solving them and moving on. Actually staying very 'centered' about it all. Still selling some baseball cards, but it has slowed down some. Got more to load on the 'other' site when I can. Trip to the dentist and other errands have been ran. There is a GOOD chance that our druggie is trying to return and set up shop again. BUT, I think we have a jump on him and can nip it quickly. At least that's what we're going to try and do. Still doing the food plan thing, and it seems to be working out OK. Still at times searching for the right foods to fit in. But happy at this point. Even had the grill fired up several times!! CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! chase that water leak

    "    Like to put my foot down head out of New York town, hit the open road, I guess it clears my mind, I love the change in time, it put my nose in joint, I'm just so signifyin', I know that it ain't no crime    "    Well have spent the last week trying to chase down a BIG water leak around the building. I think we found it!? Now got to get someone out here that can dig up the area and confirm our find. Water bill took a 40% jump in cost from last month. Progress is gong great for the roof, getting oh so close to getting that started. Still selling a little on the inter-web, about a card or two every several days. Sure would like to see a couple of the BIG ones sell!! Ran a few errands this week, not too bad. Finally got my crown and filling done at the dentist, good till next year. The weather has been cooler, but I see another VERY warm patch coming in a few days. OH BOY!! CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! shop till ya drop OR home delivery

    "    Well baby use to stay out all night long, she made me cry she done me wrong, she hurt my eyes open that's no lie, tables turn and now it's her turn to cry, well she used to run around with every man in town, she spent all my money playing her high class game, she put me out it was a pity how I cried, tables turn and now her turn to cry    "    Well had a BIG day yesterday. One of my top 10 walking days I think, or at least it felt like it. Ran several errands, whilst looking for that new 'Beyond Beef' hamburger patty. FOUND IT!! Did plenty of other shopping as well. Grilled up the 'new' burger for dinner. It's good, too much fat 'content' to stay in the food plan, but I'd have it again. Had some VERY nice sesame seed buns, sliced tomatoes, onions and rosemary fries with it. You know I often think about having my groceries delivered instead of going out to get them. But shopping seems to be my main exercise pattern, so maybe not yet. Sold a couple of cards this week, and started to put another set together. Found out I had a lot of one set that I was listing on the other site. So searched the inter-web and found missing cards to fill out the set. COOL!! Not much else going on, got some things coming up next week, and looks like a trip in store for next month. The weather has been a little better.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! now THIS is a drainboard

    "    you let somebody do the dirty work, find some loser find some jerk, find some dumb ass do it all for free, find some loser find some jerk, find some greaseball yeah    "    Well been a good week, couple of errands and more H.O.A. stuff. Still working on getting the roof project FINALIZED!! We are getting close. Still managing to sell a baseball card or two every couple of days, VERY COOL!! Got some more sorting work done on the baseball cards and even managed to list a couple of new items. Been out on the grill a couple of times, STILL got the touch!! The weather has been better, high 60's low 70's with some overcast skies. But I see we maybe headed back to FULL sun for a week or so. That means high 70's and mid 80's. Fun times. I think I have figured out a way to keep the penthouse somewhat cool throughout the day. Been out visiting with some of the neighbors as well.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! too hot and still movin' along

    "    New York was cold and damp, TV was just a blank, looks like another dead end Sunday, what about an early night, Monday never feels so bright, ooh the sheets feel cold and lonely, who wants to brave the pouring rain, for a glass of French Champagne, well grad a cab, grab a cap, and baby come right by    "    Well I had a very nice b-day. The daughters were by several days earlier and then prime rib on the day, WOW, glad to taste I have not lost the touch of a well grilled prime rib!!!! Got stuff gong on with the condo, busy taking care of things before the roof and other miscellaneous items. Still managing to sell an item or so off of eBay and the 'other' site. Been busy with fantasy baseball and getting some trades done before the trade deadline. Not doing to bad in the eight leagues, making some charges up the standings. The weather has been just TOO warm, trying what ever I can to keep it cool as possible in the penthouse. I think we're doing OK, so far. Been to the dentist and more visits to come. CHOW MOI!!

Dentist for a repair of an old filling that had a cavity behind it. Trip to the nutritionist, and several other errands, even got in a shopping day for groceries. Been busy with fantasy baseball stuff. Still selling some baseball cards here and there. Seems like several sales a week, COOL!! Someone is making plans for a birthday party! COOL!! Been doing OK on the new food plan. Am losing some weight, not quickly, but losing! Been busy around the condo with HOA stuff and what not. Seems like I'm out and about and on the go almost everyday. AND now the weather is warming up, suppose to have 9 or 10 day sin a row at or above 80 degrees. NO THANKS!! Just NOT my kind of weather.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! two on, two out, two strikes

    "    No good, can't speak, wound up no sleep, sky diver inside her, skip rope stunt flyer, wounded lover, got no time on hand, one last cycle thrill freak Uncle Sam, pause for bus'ness, hope you'll understand, judge and jury walk out hand in hand, Dietrich movies, close up boogies    "    Well got some good stuff done this week. Had a GREAT meeting with the roof guy. We are OOOH so close to getting this thing done. Got a few other things going on, still watching VERY close for the drug activity. Been a slow week for eBay, have sold a card or tow on the other web site. Was busy last week with doctors and dentist visits, got more dentist coming up, FUN TIMES. The weather has turned warmer and will only get hotter. SO far doing OK, the ceiling fan seems to REALLY help out. I try to get it as cool as I can over night. Then just hope it doesn't get overly hot throughout the day. I got several other fans that help some, and on the TOO hot days we find a reason to go fro a car ride and soak up the AC in the car. HEY ALL!! non-dairy vs dairy free

    "    You tried so hard to kill me, but woman it just was not my time, you put poison in my coffee, instead of milk or cream, you bout the evilest woman, that I ever seen    "    Well the beat still rolls along, selling some item from the 'other' baseball card web site,m and from eBay. Nothing that's going to let me retire to St. Thomas Island, but still a sale is a sale. Have managed to collect all but ONE of the roof assessments for the condo. I'm VERY happy!! I think the lone non-payer will come around shortly as well. Then we get to replace the roof, oh joy!!  Been to the dentist, and yes there is work to be done. I've got two very small cavities, and two very old crowns that need replacing. Nothing that money won't fix. Got a couple of visits from my eldest daughter. Lots of fun. Got to grill a couple of times as well. The new power lift recliners are doing well. I got a battery back up so if we ever loose power while in the chairs we can get out. Found a couple of seat cushions that are very comfortable and make sitting in the evening watching TV very pleasant. Got several errands this week and some HOT weather coming in, not what I want, but we'll figure a way to get through it.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! take a seat enjoy the ride

    "    Yeah some called me garbage, when I was sleeping on the streets, I never roll and I never cheat, I'm filling a need I'm plugging a hole, my mama so glad I ain't on the dole    "    Well a good week for eBay, still managing to sell some stuff on a random basis. I hope there is an up tick in sales around the H.O.F. induction ceremonies. Cause I got a LOT of 'Gar's stuff. Couple errands back and forth, doctors, groceries, etc. Things moving along greatly for the condo roof stuff. Did get signs that our drug problem might have returned. We are back on it full force again. I'm going to go see a dentist, it's been two years. Just not sure what to expect, I have had lots of work done before, just not sure how much is yet needed to be done. The weather had been staying plenty warm, too warm at times. I'm having a hard time getting the condo to cool down enough in the overnights. But still managing to get through. Have done some grilling, but not much.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! evaluate your teams maybe time to change

    "    If it's love that you're running from, there's no hiding place, just your problems, noone else's problems, you'll just have to face, but if you just put your hand in mine we're going to leave all that trouble behind    "     Well had a nice week on eBay, somethings picking up. Sold some items I just listed, COOL!! Got a chance to spend some time with my eldest and her hubby. Always fun times. Got to test the battery back up I bought for the power lift recliners we have. It worked GREAT!! Plenty of power to get both of us out of our chairs. That's important if we loose power when we are relaxing in those chairs. Things are moving positively around the condo, still collecting the roof assessment and looking forward to a mid year meeting. The weather has been great for ME. We've had some light rain and plenty of clouds to keep the temps down. I'm perfectly good with that. Got a couple of things going on this week, both personally and condo wise. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! mid-summer classic celebrate the 4th

    "    I got a love so deep in the pit of my heart, ev'ry day it grows more and more, I'm not ashamed to come and plead with you baby, if pleadin' keeps you from walkin' out the door    "    Well I use to post everyday, then every third day or so, now it looks like about once a week. What has changed that makes me not post as often? I'm not sure, things do seem to be going along relatively smoothly. Of course there are the 'bumps' that come along. Maybe I'm able now to work around those without a life interference, or maybe the bumps are smaller now. There is plenty gearing up around the condo. We are moving along nicely with the roof assessments and have, for the time being, removed our drug house activity. The weather is heating UP more than I want. But am working on dealing with it. The new food plan is working out, eBay has been slowing down a little. I'm still getting the stupidly low bids on some of the priciest cards. Have not been grilling much, should increase that as we get into the summer more. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! summer's a comin' turn the fan to high

    "    Everybody in town remembers the last hurricane, everyone in town hopes it doesn't happen again, 'cause oh how it shrieks, days turn in to weeks, and nobody knew no one in town knew, which way the wind blew    "    Well things are picking up a little with eBay and my other card site, not a lot, but some. Had a pleasant break in the weather, even had some rain, but we all KNOW the hot weather is on it's way!! Not much else going on. Getting closer to the roof and starting that, seeing a good participation at this point. The problem child has moved out and we are on constant watch for any other tricks he might try. We have some stuff in place that should help us if that happens. Had a good visit with the nutritionist last week, I am losing some weight and the plan seems to be working. Just got to make sure I stay on it.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! post daddy's day cooler weather

    "    I'm going to St Louis but my next stop just might be L.A., that's what I say, I've got no money in my pocket so I'm going to have to hitch hike all the way    "    Well both daughters came around for Father's Day, one on Saturday and one yesterday. Got to have some chat time, drinks and dinner with both. Got some very nice gifts and a good time with them. Things have slowed done at eBay, and still  some what steady at the other site. Condo stuff have quieted as well. We think (?) we got rid of our druggie situation. It's been about 10 days. It has been quieter around the place. Now just get through the HOT summer and ready for the roof. Not much else happening. We really like our new power lift recliners, I got in the battery back up I need so they will work when the power goes out. Just need to get it hooked up. Not much else happening, which is fine with me.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! where'd ya go

    "    We'll be watching out for trouble, and we'd better keep the motor running, well you can't say yes and you can't say no, just be right there when the whistle blows    "    Well I have been derelict in keeping up with my postings. Things have been going full speed around the condo. I think (I hope) we have the druggie problem resolved. He has moved out, for how long we don't know. But I've already called the police once upon his return, and there are plenty of us looking out for him or his 'friends'. Had a few other items going on as well. But should settle down some what until the roof project. I've been feeling alright and trying to get this new food thing squared away. I think I'm making progress. Getting some new and good ideas for meals and snacks. Nothing going on with eBay or the other site. I think I've sold one item in the past week. Fantasy baseball is moving along greatly. Not sure what the exact plans are for Father's Day, but do have some things going.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug

    "    Mister President, Mister Immigrant man, let me in sweetie to your fair land, I'm Tampa bound and Memphis too, short fat fanny is on the loose, dig that sound on the radio    "    Well Friday was a BIG day. We think(?), with fingers crossed, that we got rid of our drug dealer. The mom finally felt unsafe in her own condo and with the boyfriends help told her son to move out and not come back. He left to go live with a 'friend'. Now the association is going to try and trespass him to make sure he stays away. It was a quiet day on Saturday around the homestead, no ratty, junk, suspicious vehicles coming and going every two minutes. We just have to do what ever we can to enforce this move and stop the druggies. I felt a certain amount of relief, but also know full well that he is a SICK individual who is trying to screw over his mother and take ALL the money he can from her. Someone who would do WHAT ever is needed to accomplish that end, with NO respect for anyone but himself!! So I've given a heads up to all the owners I see, and let them know to call the police if he returns. Now let's see how it goes. Went to a VERY nice dance program last night. Bellingham High Dance team had some great performances. It was their end of year dance. We always enjoy it.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the summer heat is growing

    "    You just got to say it anyway, I just need to hear those words for me, you don't have to say too much, babe I wouldn't even touch you anyway, I just want to hear you say to me, sweet lies    "    Well the past several days have been warmer, and I think more is on the way. OH JOY!! So far the ceiling fan is doing great. Got new power lift recliner chairs in and the daughters came by Saturday and got them set up, and the old chairs taken to Habitat for Humanity. Had a nice lunch with them as well. Selling on eBay and the other site has slowed a bit, but still a couple of items a week. Things are going along with the condo. Not much different stuff. May have the windows washed soon. Still tracking the lack of progress in our problem unit. Had a great visit to the nutritionist and got a better idea of a good meal plan that will promote some weight loss. Got some good direction and ideas to vary the meals, back to 'SOME' meat.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! Summer is upon us good times for all

    "    Move your body, move your mouth, shake lady way down south, shake baby in your home town, come si chiama what's your game, I'm just a poor man what's your name    "     Well past the Memorial Day Holiday and onto SUMMER!! The weather is already warming up, WAY UP! I got the ceiling fan on 'medium' but I feel soon to be on 'high'. It has not been too bad the past several days. Had the eldest and hubby here Sunday for some grillin'. I almost had the while penthouse up in smoke. I had put on some pork country ribs and had turned them and moved them off the hottest part of the grill. Came inside to chat with son-in-law, and then my daughter said it looked 'smokey' out. YES it was, lots of smoke and flame. SO I turned off the grill then the gas and then moved the pork around so it wouldn't just burn away. Was able to get them off the grill and into the oven for a few moments. Ended up having a nice dinner, the pork was tasty with a little 'char' on the outside. Only thing I can think of is there seemed to be lots of moisture in the pork and I think some build up of grease in the grill it self. But no worse damage than a blackened brick wall behind the grill and black cob webs in the corners of the balcony. WOW!! Have been selling a few things off of eBay, and once in awhile off the other site too. Just keeps going along. Not much else happening. Still working on the problem people in the condo, have made some progress, but still lots to go. I hope we are on the right track to bring this to an end.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! markets up markets down cuckoo clock goes 'round

    "    Is there nothing I can say, nothing I can do, to change your mind I'm so in love with you, you're too deep in you can't get out, you're just a poor girl in a rich man's house, yeah baby I'm crying over you, don't you know promises were never made to keep, just like the night dissolve in sleep    "    Well I've been away from posting for too long. Been a busy week, I had a trip to the doctors, then several more errands to run. Took a day 'off' and watched the PGA Championship and chilled. Still got things going around the condo with our problem people, hope to have some resolution within about a week or so. Still selling a few things on eBay, but that has slowed some. Daughters are staying as busy as ever. The weather has been warmer, and so far been handling it fine. We'll see later this month when it's suppose to warm up even more. I think the ceiling fan is helping a bunch. New surround sound is working well, I still need to tweak it some, but I'm happy at this point. Regular stuff around the HOA, still trying to handle the issues from our 'problem' but doing some other stuff as well. Just doing some minor trimming and clean up around the landscape.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! mom's day and PGA Championship

    "    Doctor please some more of these, outside the door she took four more, what a drag it is getting old, men just aren't the same today, I hear ev'ry mother say, they just don't appreciate that you get tired, they're so hard to satisfy, you can tranquilizer your mind, so go running for the shelter of a mother's little helper, and four more help you through the night    "    Well had our BIG Fine meeting last night. Lots of good ideas and a VERY solid plan came out of it. I think we finally have a positive direction to follow to resolve the issues. Now it's up to the unit owner to follow through with her promises and we'll see what results happen. There was some very 'loud' moments leading up to the meeting during the day. But I stayed firm on my choices and got through it just fine. Now onto other BIG things we need to tackle. Have ran several errands this week, and think we got several more. Got the new surround system hooked up and working. Got the old system out and over to Goodwill. Sounds like I still got to 'tweak' the sub, which I will sometime this week. Still working on the new food and what to have and how to prepare it, but doing well I think.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! .. amazon delivery .. FINALLY

    "    I was dreaming of a steel guitar engagement, when you drunk my health in scented Jasmine Tea, but you knifed me in my dirty filthy basement, with that jaded faded junky nurse    "    Well been another busy week, couple of errands, more HOA stuff, trying to get some personal things done,etc. Have decided to replace my surround sound system for the TV, it's been cutting in and out and not working correctly for several years now. It's gotten to the point where I have to leave it turned on at night, or it looses the wireless connection to the back speakers. Just time to replace it. Also have discovered that Amazon has the almonds, nuts and cookies that we like. The almonds come in packages about twice the size of what we get at the store, and all of them are cheaper than the store. So plenty going on. Still trying to get the surveillance camera to work correctly. Will have to play with it again this weekend. Got everything lined up fro the 'Fine Hearing' this week, could be interesting. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! don't get out over your skis

    "    I was flippin' magazines, in that place on Mercer Street, when I thought I spotted her, getting on a motor bike, looking rather lady like, didn't she just give me a wave, salty tears it's three in the afternoon    "    Well been a full week. Finally got the motion light and surveillance camera up, now we'll see if it does any good. Had the daughters and boys over yesterday for an early 'Mother's Day' for G'ma. Grilled some T-Bones!! The daughters bought the rest of the meal. VERY GOOD!! A little excitement, while I was in my bathroom several hours before, I heard this little 'thud' and then my fan stopped working. (??) So while the kids were here,we got the cover off the Ranger and put in the battery, took off the bottom seal on the front door so I can get a new one, took down the rest of the Xmas lights, and took down the bathroom fan to see what was going on. Well as it turned out, a little bird had flown down the vent shaft and hit the fan and had it jammed. So one of the boys removed the bird, hooked the fan back up and it's working GREAT!! How weird!! Just a sign of normalcy around here.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! Happy May Queen Day or Summer is around the corner

    "    Well there's too much talkin', 'bout this an' that, and the windows need fixin', better feed the cat, we're fresh out of beer, could you answer the phone, well you call this bisque, well I'm leavin' home    "    Well YES, still lots going on. HAPPY MAY DAY!! Still putting together 'things' for our problem area in the condo. Still selling cards on BOTH web sites, and still trying to get the roof paperwork and assessment stuff in order. Also have an owner who is reaching their point of involvement I think. They have backed WAY off on the problem area, when at one time they were the KEY leader in the pursuit. Now really only want to point out when a suspicious individual or vehicle shows up, but does NOT want to call the police or get involved. YET, has ALL the answers as to what should be done. Well that's fine, I have 28 owners to consider, and fully realize that at times one or two of them may not be in the majority, and just have to LIVE with the results of the group. We are moving along to get the problem addressed and doing what we can do. We do NOT have the ultimate power that some think we do. All we can do is continue to do what we can on our end, and hope it's enough for the authorities to do what they do on their end.  CHOW MOI!!!!

Time to update the seltzer water maker. It's been over two years and it's starting to stick badly and just becoming a pain to deal with. Plus it's almost time for a new bottle anyway. Got stuff handled through Xfinity and now enjoying the new router/modem and two new TV set top boxes, one of which is wi-fi!! Nice set up and seems to function well. The monthly cost did go up a bit, but to be expected. Just keeping on with the new 'food' plan,  and still mot sold if it's really working or not. At times it is, then at times I'm always hungry.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL! paralysis through analysis or I just don't want to

    "    She knows who to smile to today, she has just been brought up that way, she knows all the right games to play, and she always just knows what to say, she's well respected    "    Well it does kind of feel like I'm stuck in a 'decision' mode. I was able to 'handle' Xfinity and re-up my two year contract with them. Had to upgrade my modem/router and my TV set top box. So I wanted to go wi-fi and wanted the wi-fi TV set top box. Well what I was told and what they sent me were WRONG!! Had to get that resolved, and finally got everything working. SO I got a new TV set top box with DVR (big whoop) and a new modem/router, that is SUPER sleek, and a new TV set top box WI-FI!! The new wi-fi TV set top box is SOOOO small!! But everything is working GREAT and the inter-web seems to be a tick faster as well!! So COOL! Did spend lots more time dealing with our potential drug house problem condo. Still call the police on suspicious activity and records all the events. We are working on getting it brought to a head. Still some sales on eBay. And fantasy baseball is moving along.  CHOW MOI!!!!

HI ALL!! Tiger wins, Mariners start losing

    "    Why put this sadness inside of me, why be so matter-of-fact, why put this on bit of hope in me, you sold me out and that's that, I hope that you're having fun with me, there's not much left to attack, I hope that you're nearly done with me    "    Well it's been a long week, and plenty of busy. I got threatened by one of the comers and goers at our problem unit. I did the correct thing. Still keeping the pressure on them. We are slowly, I think, getting to some corrective measures that will help. Still selling some stuff off eBay, it has slowed, but still selling. Fantasy baseball is moving along, a lot of players are not happy with the new format, but adjusting to it. Seems like I am out everyday running some kind of errand. My leg is still feeling much better, it seems to get tired quickly, but not the shooting pain from before. I am still getting some discomfort and ache at night. So that's the next avenue I pursue. The weather has turned a little for the better.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! the AZALEAS are in full bloom

Time to drive down Magnolia Lane and go try to succeed on the Augusta National Golf Course. Ladies and Gentlemen, the MASTERS has arrived!! Perhaps my favorite golf and top 3 sporting event of the year, EVERY YEAR!! Should be some great TV starting Thursday morning. Been a busy week still got plenty going on around the condo. Couple of errands etc, still selling from eBay. Funny how the sales just keep trickling in, but I love it!! Got a chance to see both daughters during their busy times. The leg is holding up good. I am not getting the VERY sharp pain like I used to. I am getting some tired and sore feelings and it is weak. But better than before. Got a busy week ahead again, but that's how I like it.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! opening week done for the year

It's the opening week of Major League Baseball (MLB) and then the NCAA Men's Basketball Tourney is going on, and in that one if you loose, your year has ended!! Plus just around the corner, THE MASTERS!! Well my NCAA team has lost, but my home town nine are doing better than they have in the ENTIRE history of the franchise!! WOW!! Got the cuckoo clock back again, let's hope it runs as suppose too. The clock master said he has seen other cuckoo's with the same kind of front and movements, but NEVER the same decoration and movement on the front of the clock. He says it is an original early 50's late 40's German cuckoo. Still dealing with the issues in the condo. Trying EVERYTHING we can think of to thwart this problem. I think we are making some headway, it's just going to be slow. We still got a few things to try. Still selling amazingly well on eBay. Even getting sales from both accounts!! Got more to list soon as well, seem to be adding some stuff slowly but steadily. The new food choice is working out pretty well. We are still making some adjustments, but doing good for now.  CHOW MOI!!

GONZAGA moving on! What a game last night! So glad to see them into the round of eight. Also yesterday was what many think should be a National Holiday  -  MLB Opening Day  -  I kinda agree! Great games all across the league, with the M's winning their third in a row!! Also started fantasy baseball yesterday. Trying to adjust to a whole new format that has been rolled out on ESPN Fantasy. Some BIG adjustments to make, so we'll hold judgement for a couple of weeks. Things really hoping around the condo. Still the same problem on the ground floor, and some new stuff going on there that may give us a leg up on getting some pressure on the owner. Trying to get arrangements for water heater replacements. Think we got stuff lined up for that. Had to make a trip to the USPS yesterday. At eBay they have narrowed the shipping options you have. I have many different Priority boxes that I use and now they are NOT offered through eBay shipping. So each time I use one of the 'other' boxes I got to go to the Post Office itself. I am complaining steadily!!    CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! hello sweet 16 and 2nd in state

    "    I will not act unkind, I will not be so blind, I will not walk so proud, come down from off my cloud, how can I live my life this way, beauty is starring me in the face, ain't that the truth    "    Well my 'Zags have made it to the SWEET 16, and I think all expected that, now comes the real hard part, can they get to the Final Four?? My daughters dance/drill team took 2nd place in state this year. VERY good showing after things came crashing down THE week of state, great job by all!! Still getting some action of eBay. It has slowed a bit, but still making some sales. Things around the condo are as hot as ever. Still dealing with a potential illegal activity in one of the units. We are trying to do what ever we can to resolve it. I think it may take a little while. AND, we are proceeding with the roof replacements. NOW, just got to find the MONEY!!!! The other daughter just spend a couple of glorious weeks in Arizona and Colorado doing her mountain biking thing, and I think made a couple of shillings to boot. COOL!! Have been out and grilled already, adn got plans to do more grilling this week.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! opening day is a holiday

    "    Life goes by so fast, time whirls by so fast, you think I whine so, all the woman come and go, all the highs and lows don't mean a thing to me, don't give a damn    "    Well Major League Baseball had it's opening night VERY early this morning. The Mariners and the A's played their opening game in Tokyo at about 2:30 AM this morning. AND, the M's won, the M's won!! I did see some of the game, it was even too early for me. They will play their second game in Tokyo tomorrow morning about the same time, then resume their regular season schedule in about a week after they all fly home. BUT, baseball is in the air!!!! Keeping very busy around the condo these days. Got plenty going on so we can stop some illegal stuff that we suspect is going on. Taking all the steps we can. I think I got several more 'contractors' coming to the building in the next couple of days, plus some personal errands to run. Should be busy. My leg has responded well to the shot. The VERY sharp pain has gone, the leg still gets tired quickly and some overall aching as well. But MUCH better than before. CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! HAPPY PI (PIE) DAY

    "    Slipped my tongue in some one else's pie, tasting better ev'ry time, he turned green and tried to make me cry, being hungry it ain't no crime    "    Well had a great visit to the doc's yesterday. The shot worked!! My sudden sharp pain in my thigh has been gone for several days now. I still get the whole upper leg pain at night that wakes me up, but can sure walk better during the day. Made a few adjustments to my meals as well, hope to see some results. Still loading and shuffling baseball cards. Still making some sales as well!! Been joining some fantasy baseball leagues. I'm in five right now, will probably stop at eight, MAYBE!! The weather has started to turn better, had a couple of nice days. Hope to get out and start grilling on the bar-b-que soon. Got some BIG things coming up around the condo in the next few weeks.   CHOW MOI!!

Have started joining fantasy baseball leagues. I'll probably do 8 teams again this year. I can handle that many, and that's about all the good team names I can come up with. Still listing and selling  -some-  on eBay. It has slowed some, but still steady and better than the end of last year was. Still going through cards and posting on the 'other' site, and then deciding if there is a set that I can make a full set, for not a lot of money, and then sell. Got a couple going right now that could turn out great. Still getting VERY cold weather, and shots of snow. No one seems to know when it will warm up and act like spring. Got a couple of big things coming up for the HOA. Trying to get a final dollar and plan put together for the roof replacement. Just about there, hope to be finished within the week. The new 'food' plan, plant based foods is going good so far.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! still cold still hurting still selling

    "    Every man is the same come on, I'll make you a star, I'll take you a million miles away from all this' I'll put you on a pedestal, come on come on, have you ever heard those opening lines, you should leave this small town way behind, I'll be your partner show you the steps    "    Well still a busy week. Did some HOA stuff, still trying to get the roof issue to a point where we can vote on it and move on. The weather is staying COLD, no moisture, but cold. Still shuffling through the baseball cards. Got some more things listed, and several yet to do. Back to adding to my inventory on the 'other' site. Still making a sale or two as well. Working on this new food thing. Plant based, it seems to be going good. I have started to loose some weight and am enjoying the new foods we are eating. More prep time is required, so that's a challenge, but so far so good. The BIG shot was a big deal. Feeling good at this point. Several days of aches all over etc. Have NOT felt any effects of the shot yet. But don't expect to for another week or two to be honest. In fact I would not be surprised if it takes three of four weeks for anything to kick in. Other than that just doin' what I do.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! in like a lamb and out like a ????

    "    I wanna be on top, forever on the up, and damn the competition, I never play fair, I never turn a hair, just like the politicians, I wrap my conscience up, I wanna win that cup, and get my money baby, the other side is weeping    "    Well went in yesterday for my epidural steroid injection. It well very well. Doc said he got the meds where he wanted them and things were done in about 7 minutes. When I walked in the doc asked me what kind of music I like. Well I was wearing my Rolling Stones are playing in my head t-shirt, and one of the assistants said "I'll bet it's the Rolling Stones" "YES". So he put on 'Miss You' and started the procedure. That song was followed up with 'Red House' by Jimi and I was off the table as Tom Petty's 'Last Dance' started. SO hot flashes and some over all body stiffness afterwards. And I had a hard time getting to sleep last night. But feel good this morning. Now just waiting for the meds to start working, it could be several days to a week to up to two weeks. I the case of my left shoulder, it was four weeks. My eldest daughter got the driving duties yesterday and did VERY WELL. She made sure G'ma was taken care of and saw to it that I stayed in the passenger seat. CHOW MOI!!!!

HI ALL!! the roof the shot and other things

    "    I was a pitcher down in a slump, I was a fighter taken for a sucker punch, feeling bad I guess I lost my spring, I was the boxer who can't get in the ring    "    Well plenty happen' 'round the penthouse the past week. Went to Bellingham on Sunday and celebrated three birthdays!! Had a VERY nice lunch with all at one of those 'quaint' little restaurants that my daughters just seem to find up there. It was our turn to go North for a change, simple easy drive. Got plenty going on around the penthouse. Still in the middle of the new roof and talking to the owners about it. Got BUNCHES going on with eBay and the other baseball card web site. Been listing more stuff and it seems to be generating more looks and sales!! Finally got arrangements made for a epidural for my left leg pain. After the doc looked at the new MRI and what not, he decided that would be the way to go. So we'll see if it works, I sure hope so!! I'm tired of the pain and everything it causes.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! breaking in the new glove grooving my swing

    "    Why don't we sing this song all together, open our minds let the pictures come, and if we close all our eyes together, then we sill see where we all come from    "    Well had a good doctors visit yesterday. He does think the pain I am getting is from a pinched nerve in the back, around where one of my stenosis' are. SO setting up for some future treatment to see if he can help relieve the pain. Still got stuff going on with eBay and the other baseball card site. Sales have slowed a little, but got some more stuff to load. And what I got is the better stuff!! Couple of errands this week, and maybe another one later. Getting some HOA stuff lined up and trying to get this roof thing in check. Had to send the cuckoo clock back for some fine tuning, it was hanging up when the 'lady' spun around on the cuckoo and the pendulum rod was rubbing on the frame. He said it would be a quick fix.  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! plenty of water great turn out

    "    Well maybe I'm talkin' to fast, but I won't be the first or the last, in the sea of the thousand you cast, c'mon please go home, I don't have to ask what you do, I just have to look to get you, means nothing to me to get through    "    Well had a GREAT turnout for the owner's meeting on Saturday. Coffee and doughnuts I'm sure helped. Got some very important things done and started. Then spend several hours going around the building inspecting 'new' water leaks. I think most of them were caused from all the snow that backed up over the past week or so. We will keep an eye on them and see if they develop more. A couple of them we will just let slide until we replace the roofs. Have sold several things off of eBay and the other web site in the last several days. Nothing to write home about, but still a sale is a sale!! The weather has started to warm up and things are feeling better. My leg is bothering me even more, thank goodness I've got an appointment to see the doc this week. I sure hope he can find a solution. We are getting more and more onto a plant based whole food diet. Only having meat about 3 times a week as we use up the stock pile we had in the freezer. Slowly figuring out new meals and what not. So far I am enjoying the different foods and meals we are making. CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! more snow and more cold

    "    Yeah and I wish I'd been out in Stone Canyon when the lights on all the Christmas trees went out, but I've been burnin' my bell book and candle, and the restoration plays have all gone round, sometimes I think about ya baby, oh sometimes I cry about ya lord, yeah I'll wrap my coat around ya    "    Well YES, the snow just keeps a comin'!! I mean com' on!! It IS the Pacific Northwest after all. The cold weather has stayed around, been some brutal cold, doe to the mid teens at night. Doing all we can think of in the penthouse to keep it warm. The thermal curtains are helping a LOT!! Making sure we keep them closed during the day seems to help as well. Things on eBay have slowed, not sure why. I think it's just a slow down before spring training kicks in. Still trying to get my commons and minors listed on a web site. Doing well, and discovering some hidden treasures I had. Have found several sets that I can complete and list for sale! Plus some cards that will being more than a common price. Still waiting to see the doctor about my latest MRI. Been busy with HOA stuff, got an owners meeting coming up soon and have two units up for sale. So I get emails daily from someone dealing with the sale who needs information. But all in all doing OK. Sure am missing the chance to grill something!!  CHOW MOI!!

    "    Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name, but what's puzzling you, is the nature of my game    "    Well because of changes with Google + I had to re-sign in with the Blogger profile. So I took the opportunity and switched from "Big Dave from Allyn" to "PenthouseDave". That reflects my new living standard and puts a new twist on things. BUT, rest assured that you will STILL get the biting and mind twisting comments you have always gotten!!  Like the song lyrics above reference, it's NOT the name, but the GAME that will get you. For this week things have been hummin' right along. Another trip to the roof, more sales on eBay and some errands to get fooded up for the "BIG" game this afternoon. The food part is different. I have started towards 'plant based' meals. But am really in the middle of what I see as 'flexiterian'. I've got a freezer full of meats, and am NOT rich enough to just discard those and re-buy for the new meals. So I will increase the new foods and work the old ones out of the system. I may NEVER drop animal based food, but will certainly reduce them greatly. So far it's been fun discovering new foods and eating stuff I've ALWAYS liked for a long time.  CHOW MOI!!

    "    I worry about my great grandchildren, living ten miles beneath the ground, I worry about their while existence, the while damn thing's in doubt, back to zero that's where we're going, back to nothing that's where we're heading, straight to meltdown that's where we're going    "    Well a busy week, but BIG kudos to my youngest daughter!! She came down and was the 'driver' for my trip to the MRI. Of course the first place we went I did NOT fit in the machine, WOW!! Then down the road about 25 miles to the second place, PERFECT!! Done and with no problems, then back home with a stop to get dinner and stuff. She took VERY good care of nana and me, I think - I was after all on two HAPPY pills and really don't remember all the fine details of the journey!! But nana said she did VERY well!! Good enough for me. Been busy with more baseball cards and some sales from eBay!! Also busy getting ready for owners meeting with the HOA, lots going on, Now just waiting to hear from doctor, I have a follow up appointment, but if he sees something he doesn't like he will call me in early.  CHOW MOI!!

    "    When I'm looking out me window baby, and I'm standing by my door, have you ever had the feeling baby, that you've been here before    "    Well another busy week, some baseball cards, a doctors visit, running some other errands. Got to make an appointment for another MRI to check out me stenosis. Doctor would like to see and update, fun times, bring on the 'happy' pill. Still loading cards on one site, and selling at a good clip on eBay. Then mix in the HOA stuff, which seems like it has increased in activity. What with the roof bids and getting ready for the owners annual meeting. But I guess that's what I expected. SO far keeping a good hand on things. And moving along with some great progress. The meeting will be a BIG thing, and then addressing the roof issues and the MONEY for that! WOW!  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! baseball hall of fame 100% or 10th year

    "    I'm sittin' in a bar tippling a jar in Jackson, and on the street the summer sun it shines, there's many a bar room queen I've had in Jackson, but I just can't seem to drink you off my mind    "    Well today is the DAY we learn in Mariano Rivera gets 100% of the HOF vote, AND we learn if Edgar Martinez gets voted into the HOF on his 10th and FINAL year!! I say 'NO' to the former, and'It's ABOUT time' to the latter.... Been busy with HOA stuff and still posting cards on line. Been selling a good deal of cards as well, both eBay and the 'other' site. Then with all of that going on, I've still been out and about running errands, with more to come this week. FUN TIMES!! indeed.... Trying to plan birthday parties for mom, eldest daughter, and son-in-law. Think we'll do them all together on a accessible date for all involved. My leg has REALLY been barking at me the last week or so, it's all most time to visit the doctor and see what he thinks!!  CHOW MOI!!

HI ALL!! no love between dems and gop

    "    Saw you on the sidewalk sister, walking home alone, you got the blues from working, right down to your bones, woun't you please tell me sister    "    Well I have ENOUGH of this 'government shut down BS' BOTH parties are to blame, BOTH parties are acting like 4th graders on the play ground, BOTH parties don't realize what kind of hardship this is putting on so MANY Americans and so MANY workers. IT'S STUPID!! Work out a deal NOW!! And get this great country back to full steam!!!! On a different note, things are heating up in the condo. Getting ready for our annual owners meeting and lots of prep to get things on the agenda. Been plenty busy with baseball cards, both in listing cards and eBay sales!! Fun times, seem like I'm packaging up something EVERY day. Got the curtains steamed out, they look GREAT!! Of course the only hiccup is the short panels in the living room. The two bedroom curtains are GREAT!! While listing all the baseball cards, I am also resorting and repacking them to condense what ever I can. Been fun going through the cards and what not.  CHOW MOI!!

HEY ALL!! curtains and baseball cards

    "    What's the matter with me, I don't have much to say, daylight sneakin' through the window, and I'm still in this all night cafe, walkin' to and from beneath the moon, out to where the trucks are rollin' slow    "    Been a steady busy week. Youngest daughter came down to help re-hang and put up new curtains. I think things went well, biggest problem was the length of the curtains. Several of the panels were about an inch different in length!! You don't really see it until you hang them and then spend TOO Much time trying to 'level' everything. Only to realize, it's the CURTAINS!! But they are up and look good. Spent the past several days steaming the winkles out of them, now they look better, just one panel is just TOO short!! Also got new curtains up in both bedrooms. Have been spending a lot of time with things to do with the condo, mainly on the ROOF!! Got a lot going on with that stuff. And, have been spending more time trying to get baseball cards logged onto the web site so I can have some kind of inventory of my stuff, and been buying cards to fill otu sets to lost on eBay as well. Things on eBay have been selling good, been a slow down but feels like it is picking up again.  CHOW MOI!!!!

HI ALL!! the roof the car prowls and other things

    "    Hear the motor running yeah she's right in sink, tell me if she's thirsty would she like a drink, and I'm stopping at this bar, slinky like a panther you can hear her purr, touch her on the seat go on feel the fur    "    Well it's been a busy kind a couple of days. Been spending a lot of time getting items listed on a baseball card web site, which can also act as an inventory report for what I have on hand. In the meantime of listing cards I am discovering that I have some sets that are VERY close to being finished. So I'm also ordering cards that I am missing to finish sets that I can then list on eBay. Of which, eBay has been busy, been doing a little selling and lots of 'best offer' stuff. Most of which I am declining or counter offering on. Had another car break in the other night. Same scenario, busted out a passenger window, then crawled in through the broken window, ransacked the interior, and took ONLY the owners manual!! Had a long chat with a police officer and got some ideas on things we may try to do to if not prevent, at least slow down the break ins. Had another roofer come out yesterday and look at our roof. Will try to get a third one out as well. Taking bids and seeking opinions on our condo roof, Not sure at this point when or what, I do know FOR SURE that it will be expensive!! Got a couple of errands to run this week and hope to get the new curtains up in the bedrooms and adjust the living room rod so it hangs properly. CHOW MOI!!

Plenty of 'Gar stuff, as he increases his chances of getting into the HOF with each passing vote. It's just GOT to happen this year! Got plenty of rain and wind the past several days, with much more a coming. Welcome to Seattle in the winter!! Looks like a busy January, still pushing eBay listing, plenty to do on the HOA front, several errands, AND I should get in to see the doctor about my continuous pain in the upper left leg area.
